การคัดเลือกแบคทีเรียจากลำไส้กุ้งกุลาดำเพื่อใช้เป็นโพรไบโอติกสำหรับการเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำ
In this study 14 bacterial strains isolated from gastrointestinal tract of black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) was investigated for their probiotic potential. The results showed that 6 strains namely S1 S3 S6 S7 T4 and T5 were able to degrade 3 nutrient substances including protein starch and lipid among which S3 S7 and S2 were the best tested nutrient-degrading bacteria respectively. Six bacterial strains were unable to lyse red blood cells including S2 S3 T0 T1 T2 and T3. S2 strain showed the strongest antibacterial activity against shrimp pathogenic Vibrio harveyi following an agar overlay technique. Based on environmental tolerance tests S2 and T0 strains grew well under wide ranges of environmental conditions e.g. sodium chloride concentration (0-8%) pH (6-10) and temperature (25-37C). As a consequence S2 strain had the most probiotic potential for shrimp culture owing to no hemolysis of red blood cells inhibition of V. harveyi growth protein and lipid degrading ability and high environmental tolerance for shrimp cultivation. The strain was identified as Micrococcus sp. S2. However additional study focused on immune response nutrient digestibility and growth promotion of the strain should be further performed in marine shrimp.

This research aims to develop Thai herbal formulas for household cleaning products and reduce the use of chemicals by using kaffir lime herbs to extract essential oils by using a method of squeezing from the bark. The result is a dark green essential oil with a pleasant aroma when mixed with liquid hand soap and natural residues such as water extracted from silkworm cocoons to add moisture and lye to remove it. Reduce the use of chemical flavoring agents the use of coloring chemicals the use of moisturizing agents and the use of degreasers. In this research the formula for hand washing liquid soap using 80 ml. of essential oil from kaffir lime peel is the right amount resulting in liquid hand soap with a pH value of 7.3 which is the value that is in the standard for mixed liquid soap products. TIS 1403-2551 can inhibit the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) a bacterium that can cause diarrhea in humans.

Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for plant growth. When the plants have been grown for a long-term effect to decreased nitrogen in soil and insufficiency of the plant growth. One biological method for increasing the nitrogen content in soil is utilize of free nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azotobacter. Therefore the objective of this research was to search natural material suitable for Azotobacter fixation. The 10 natural materials were observed physical structure and investigated the ability of natural materials for Azotobacter fixation. The results showed that water hyacinth and bagasse stalks were fixed the Azotobacter of 2.43x108 and 1.94 x108 CFU per gram of each natural material respectively. After that the selected fixed Azotobacter of water hyacinth and bagasse stalks were studied the growth of Brassica Chinensis. This experiment was designed to 4 treatments. The first treatment was mixed of water hyacinth stalks and the Azotobacter. Second treatment was mixed of bagasse stalks and the Azotobacter. The third treatment was the Azotobacter only. The last treatment was soil only. The results indicated that the average of plant growth include height leaf number root length fresh weight and dry weight of the mixed of water hyacinth stalks and the Azotobacter had significantly higher growth rates than other treatments. The total nitrogen was also increased 1.4 fold in the soil. All results suggest that the water hyacinth stalk is alternative for the fixation of the free nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azotobacter as induce nitrogen in the soil and plant growth promotion.

The objective of this research was to study the antibacterial activity of 16 samples of indigo dyed fabrics that are produced and sold in Sakon Nakhon Province. Effect of moisture and pH of indigo dyed fabrics on bacterial growth were also determined. The result of the study shows inhibition of S. aureus TISTR 746 and E. coli TISTR 073 by agar diffusion plate test all samples could inhibit Saureus TISTR 746 (accounted as 100%) and only 9 samples could inhibit E. coli TISTR 073 (accounted as 56.25%). Whereas the study of antibacterial activity by AATCC test method 100-2004 at 24 hours was found that the natural indigo dyed fabrics code A3-1 could inhibit both bacterial strains in the highest level. The result also shows the effect of moisture and pH of indigo dyed fabrics on bacterial growth it was found that the increased humidity levels of indigo dyed fabrics have effect on the reduction of the inhibition efficacy of both strains. While indigo dyed fabric with pH 3.0 was found to inhibit most of the growth of both strains. In addition images obtained using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) could clearly confirm the property of indigo dyed fabric on inhibition of S. Aureus TISTR 746 and E. coli TISTR 073.

The objective of this study is to explore a method to improve UV protection and antibacterial properties of the cotton yarn surface to produce high-quality textile products. Cotton yarns were coated with sodium hydrogen phosphate magnesium chloride softener solution and 0 to 0.54 M of polyvinyl alcohol to hold surface yarns to the yarn body using the winding machine. The coated yarns were analyzed using Field emission scanning electron microscope Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Optimal results were achieved when coating with 0.45 M PVA exhibited UV protection was excellent protection. The cotton yarn coated 0.45 M polyvinyl alcohol displayed the antibacterial activity in the presence of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli was 87 and 91% respectively. The expected overall properties may open the way towards new applications of high performance fabrics leading to an innovative product development in the textile industry
