Develop a prototype of the smart bin for supporting solid waste management at the source. The objective is to develop the functionality of the smart bin to meet the requirements of users. A body design of the smart bin prototype made from plastic with a lid size 25 cm. x 36 cm. x 48 cm. the total volume of the smart bin was 31.5 kg and using ARM STM32F4 series micro controller to control the functions of the smart bin. There is a sensor to measure the temperature and humidity. Ultrasonic level sensor Infrared distance measuring sensor and weight sensor with load cell data display controlling the opening and closing of the smart bin by servo motor. A Smart bin prototype can show the amount of waste. Moreover the level of waste and the weight of the waste inside were showed. The smart bin was showed relative temperature and humidity values inside a bin. The optimum distance to the reflective object of the sensor for opening and closing the smart bin was in the range of 20-50 cm. The Smart bin lid provided approximately 7-9 seconds to maintain the status to lid open representing an average time of 7.4±0.9 seconds. This research will help promote waste management at the source and effectively benefits to solve the problem of waste accumulation in place.

It is well known that waste spoiled are undesired and one of the main causing of environmental problems and health effects. In Thailand there are growing wastes especially at Thewarat market every year. The causes of the increase in wastes are from economic and industrial expansion which are important issues for the community responsible to manage and correct the amount and types of waste disposed properly before disposal. In the study a preliminary survey by talk and providing the questionnaires were conducted at the Thewarat market. It was found that solid wastes or rubbishes are mostly generated during and after trading process with and without proper can disposal. The stores did commonly dump the solid and liquid wastes around the stores or nearby the bin not inside the bin. The unpleasant observations shown were the solid wastes and dirty water contaminating into the soil and in the waterway and it was not managed hygienically. Uncared by unconcerned sellers during busy market during the day more unrecognized attitudes of the merchants themselves inappropriate placement of food and food waste in the public for the buyers and manucipal wastes generated by people in the surrounding community were normally observed daily. More risks of disease spreading and accumulated rodents insects and pathogens breeding and homing were appeared during at night after the market closed. In the research the campaign and suggestions were operated by the research team the proposed strategies for the waste management at Thewarat market area were including two times of training; discussions and 2 leaflets. These sessions were based on the education on proper waste management highlight on the proper use of right trash bin with the right waste post-sales area management and the use of microorganisms for the production of bio-fertilizers and bio-fermented solution from biodegradable waste in the market community. Moreover the monitoring communities were done for the proper use of trash bin in the community and providing the right waste management. It could bring the benefits to the community at the initial level especially the realization and attitudes in the suitable waste management since approximated 10% shops keep their shops and area nearby clean thus adding a panoramic view with a good image to the Thewarat market.

The government pharmaceutical organization employees’ opinions towards the waste management
The government pharmaceutical organization employees’ opinions towards the waste management

TThe objective of this independent study was to compare the opinions of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees’ towards the waste management within the organization. The participants were classified by personal characteristics of The Government Pharmaceutical Organization employees; and the research instrument used was a questionnaire. The research data applied the statistics included percentage frequency average standard deviation. The research hypotheses were tested by independent sample t-test. One Way ANOVA (F-test) was applied to verify two variables while Scheffe was used to test the research hypotheses among more than two groups of variables. The results of the study revealed as follows. 1. Most of the personnel were males aged between 31-40 years old holding Bachelor’s degrees in the area of production process with 5 to 10 years working experience. 2. Their opinions towards the waste management within the organization were found that the overall picture was rated in the high level in every aspect arranging from the average values of the highest to lowest namely Reuse Recycle and Reduce aspects respectively. 3. The results of the hypothesis testing revealed that the sample personnel of different genders have dissimilar opinions on the waste management within The Government Pharmaceutical Organization on the in the Reuse Recycle and Reduce ง aspects areas with statistical significance at the level of 0.05 and their different educational levels resulted in dissimilar ideas on the waste management within the organization regarding the Reduce aspect at statistical significant at the level of 0.05.

The purpose of this study 1) Study knowledge and attitude towards waste management to generate income: case study of community Phya Prasit Dusit District Bangkok. 2) Comparison knowledge and attitude towards waste management to generate income: case study of community Phya Prasit Dusit District Bangkok classified by gender age occupation education and monthly income. The samples in this research were 154 members. The study participants selected by simple random sampling. The test with 20 items and questionnaires of rating scales with 20 items were used as the research instrument. Percentages means standard deviation t-test for Independent sample F-test and Scheffe’s test and Scheffe’s test analysis were statistical method to analyze data. The results were as follows: 1. Knowledge towards waste management to generate income of community Members Phya Prasit was in high levels while attitude towards waste management to generate income of community members Phya Prasit was in relatively high levels. 2. Comparison of knowledge and attitudes towards waste management to Generate income o community members Phya Prasit Dusit Bangkok. Found that Community members Phya Prasit with different sex age occupation education and income per month were different knowledge towards waste management to generate Incomes. Statistically significant differences at the significance level of 0.05. The attitude towards waste management to generate income it was found that community members Phya Prasit with different sex age education and income per month different attitude towards waste management to generate incomes. Statistically significant differences at the significance level of 0.05.

Greenhouse gas emission reduction from recycled solid waste management : A Case Study of Rattanatibade School, Nonthaburi Province
Greenhouse gas emission reduction from recycled solid waste management : A Case Study of Rattanatibade School, Nonthaburi Province

The study evaluated the greenhouse gas emission reduction of waste management with software of 3R-Greenhouse Gas Calculation Versions 6.0 case study of Rattanatibade School Nonthaburi Province. The results of solid waste from Rattanatibade School Nonthaburi Province are totally 1748 kilogram. Classification of waste by group the results show that other solid waste group had the highest weight. Following by organic waste LDPE plastic cardboard paper (white / black) glass PS plastic PET plastic aluminum newspaper and steel in the quantities 140 90.67 29.05 28.09 27.93 26.51 24.54 21.14 5.33 0.20 kg respectively. When evaluating greenhouse gas emission reduction of solid waste it has found that greenhouse gas emission from solid waste recycled recycling totaled 666.23 KgCO. is the most paper (white / black) is equal to the amount of greenhouse gasses 136.34 KgCO. Following by cardboard LDPE plastic and organic waste. The reduction of greenhouse gases are equal to 113.84 109.03 100.71 KgCOrespectively.
