Contamination of Endocrine Disrupting Compounds in Environment
Contamination of Endocrine Disrupting Compounds in Environment

Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) are the substances that disrupt normal functions of hormones produced by endocrine glands affecting to system and organism functions under hormone control altering from nature conditions consequently cause adverse health effect in human and other living organisms. Most EDCs characteristics are lypophilic and persistence in environment. The hazardous EDCs produce from human activities contaminating in environment such as water air soil and food are produced etc.

Expectation of Students toward environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
Expectation of Students toward environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon

Expectation of Students toward environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon Salakchit Pukjaroon Prayuth Suwanasri Keywords: Expectation environment The purpose of this research were 1) to study expectation of students toward environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon as perceived by student in overall five aspects and each aspect of physical facilities teaching and learning relationships among students. 2) to compare expectation of student toward environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon as perceived by students year of study. The sample of this research consisted of 365 students who were studying at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon in academic year 2008 and they were randomly selected. The research instrument used for collecting data was a five -rating scale questionnaire. The data were statistically analyzed by percentage arithmetic mean standard deviation t -test one way analysis of variance and Scheffe Method Test. The results of this research were as follows: 1. The environmental of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon as perceive by student in overall five aspects was at moderate level. 2. There was no significant difference of the environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon as perceived by male and female students in overall five aspects and each aspect. 3. There was no significant difference of the environment of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon as perceived by students with diffence year of study in overall five aspects and each aspect.

Factors Related to Attitude in Environmental Pollutions of Students in Business Administration of Rajamangala University of Technology in Bangkok
Factors Related to Attitude in Environmental Pollutions of Students in Business Administration of Rajamangala University of Technology in Bangkok

The purpose of this study was to study the some factors related to attitude in environmental pollutions of students and compare attitude in environmental pollutions of students in faculty of business administration at Rajamangala University of Technology in Bangkok in 6 aspects : environmental pollutions water pollution air pollution noise Pollution toxic substances pollution and solid waste pollution. The students were classified by gender academic years and major subjects. The samples in this research were 1745 students. The study participates were selected by stratified random sampling. The 30 item tests and 42 item questionnaires of Likerts rating scales were used as the research instrument. Percentage mean standard deviation t -test for independent sample F -test LSD analysis and multiple correlation (stepwise multiple regression analysis) were statistical methods to analyze data. The results were as follows: 1.Attitude in environmental pollutions of students all aspects were in agreeable levels that noise pollution was the highest while environmental pollutions and water pollution was in the lowest rank. 2.Media exposure about environmental pollutions of students were in middle level that friend and television was the highest. 3. There was significant difference for media exposure about environmental pollutions at the 0.05 level among students in different gender and different major subjects. 4. There was significant difference for knowledge about environmental pollutions at the 0.05 level among students in different gender different academic years and different major subjects. 5. There was significant difference for attitude in environmental pollutions at the 0.05 level among students in different gender different academic years and different major subjects. 6. The score -weight of knowledge about environmental pollutions and media exposure about environmental pollutions contributed to attitude in environmental pollutions of students with statistically significant at 0.01 level and then media exposure about environmental pollutions contributed to attitude in environmental pollutions of students higher than knowledge about environmental pollutions.

An Experimental investigation of the carbonation of blended portland cement palm oil fuel ash mortar in an indoor environment
An Experimental investigation of the carbonation of blended portland cement palm oil fuel ash mortar in an indoor environment

In this research palm oil fuel ash was utilized as a pozzolanic material in blended Portland cement mortar. The mortar was tested on the normal compressive strength and the negative effect of carbonation in indoor environment using the accelerated carbonation test of 5% CO2 in 50% relative humidity. Three palm oil fuel ash fractions of different fineness viz. coarse original palm oil fuel ash (CPOA) medium palm oil fuel ash (MPOA) and fine palm oil fuel ash (FPOA) were used for the study. Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) was partially replaced by these palm oil fuel ashes at the dosages of 20% and 40% by weight of binder. The results showed that the incorporation of the ashes affected the strength and the carbonation depths of mortars. The strengths of mortar slightly decreased with the increases in the dosage of the ash. The fineness of ash on the other hand improved the strength and the carbonation of the mortars. The mortars containing FPOA exhibited high strength and relatively low carbonation in comparison to those using coarser MPOA and CPOA. The use of FPOA resulted in a strong and dense mortar owing to the increased packing effect and pozzolanic reaction. It was therefore demonstrated that the FPOA could be used as a pozzolanic material to replace part of Portland cement for use in the indoor environment.
