Development of Tie-Dyes Sisal Products for Hubkapong Agricultural Cooperation Group Limited
Development of Tie-Dyes Sisal Products for Hubkapong Agricultural Cooperation Group Limited

The purposes of this research were Products development from hemp dying for Hub-Kra-Pong agricultural cooperatives limited. Phase 1) the experiment selected the appropriate characteristics of hemp fibers to the dying. Phase 2) the experiment was tie and dye method for appropriating characteristics of hemp fibers. Phase 3) design patterns in order to create product bags and hats design forms of 15 styles and chosen by the expert. The expert selected in each type 3 styles for making products to survey the product satisfaction. The education meet that. 1. The characteristics of fibers suitable for the dying is which braided can be formed into the product at all. 2. The experimental tie and dyeing methods to suit the characteristics of the fibers found that a thick tie dye and hot dry with direct dye suitable for using. 3. Design patterns to create bags and hats products. This research use patterns plant and animal types. 4. Results of the satisfaction of the respondents for bags and hats. Respondents were satisfied for styles and the colors used in dyeing of bags and hats in highest level

การศึกษาเปรียบเทียบเทคนิควิธีการมัดย้อมเพื่อพัฒนาลวดลายผลิตภัณฑ์ผ้ามัดย้อม

The purposes of this research were 1) the comparison of tie-dye methods; Binding technique folding technique and stitching technique and 2) three kinds of fabric dyed; cotton linen and rayon comparison and 2 pattern design groups; geometrics and naturalistic patterns. There are 8 motifs were used; quadrangle trianglecircle heart form flower leaf butterfly and worm. The research tools were used; The assessment for 15 connoisseurs (connoisseurship model). Data were analyzed by the statistical package for the social science program and using mean percentage standard deviation one-way ANOVA and chi-square.The result of the study were that binding technique had mean 4.20the second was stitching technique had mean 4.10 and the last was folding technique had 3.69. The result of the tie-dye technique suitability comparative ranking for massproduct that the best technique is binding. The second was stitching technique and the last was folding technique. In this study there were comparative in 5 parts as follows 1.tie-dye method 2. pattern design 3. colour of fabric dyed 4. overall image of fabric dyed 5. capability of techniques.Binding technique folding technique and stitching technique on Cotton were much points in tie-dye method and capability of techniques. Binding technique and stitching technique on Cotton were much points in pattern design and overall image of fabric dyed. Binding technique and stitching technique on Linen were much points in 5 parts. Folding technique on Linen were much points especially in tiedye method and capability of techniques. Binding technique and stitching technique on Rayon were much suitable in 5 parts. Folding technique on Rayon were much especial points in 5 parts except overall image of fabric dyed. Comparison of three kinds of fabric and two pattern groups were that cotton linen and rayon fabrics in geometrics and naturalistic patterns had average the best in binding technique. To compare tie-dye techniques and fabrics and pattern groups had different for some parts statistically significant at level of .05

Investigated on Removal of Residual Dyestuff in Effluent from Dyeing Process: Physical Method
Investigated on Removal of Residual Dyestuff in Effluent from Dyeing Process: Physical Method

This study was investigated the pretreatment of dye effluent from dyeing process by activated carbon. The study parameters were color strength operating time and types of dyestuff such as direct dye reactive dye acid dye basic dye and disperse dye. The results found the activated carbon was achieved to adsorb the colorant. The pretreatment process used 100 – 200 gram activated carbon to one liter of dye effluent. The contact time was 2 hours at room temperature. The dyeing conditions had an influent for pretreatment process. The acidic condition was favored than neutral and basic condition. In addition the dye removal efficiency was basic dye > acid dye > disperse dye > direct dye > reactive dye.

Development of Batik Painting Technique Silk Fabric via Natural Dyes
Development of Batik Painting Technique Silk Fabric via Natural Dyes

The aim of this research is to paint silk fabric with batik technique using five natural dyes from margosa bark lac mango leaves marigold and otaheite gooseberry bark. The pre-mordant and after-mordant techniques were used in this work. Ten mordants Aluminum potassium sulphate Copper (II) sulphate Sodium dichromate Tannic acid Tartaric acid Tin (II) chloride and Calcium acetate-monohydrate were applied. The batik fabrics were characterized in color strength rubbing fastness washing fastness light fastness and stiffness. The result indicated that silk fabric painted with natural dye from margosa bark could use all 10 mordants to improve color strength and gave various shades of color. The silk fabric painted with natural dye from lac could not use all 10 mordants to improve color strength but it gave various shade. The silk fabric painted with natural dye from mango leaves marigold and otaheite gooseberry bark showed that almost 10 mordants gave higher color strength and various shade. The mordanting technique would give good fastness and reduce the stiffness of batik fabric.

The Use of Polycationic Agent to Modify the Dyeing Behaviour of Direct Dyes on Cotton Fabric
The Use of Polycationic Agent to Modify the Dyeing Behaviour of Direct Dyes on Cotton Fabric

In the current practice cotton fabric is predominantly dyed with direct dyes in the presence of a considerable amount of electrolyte (Salt) to reduce negative charge on fiber surface. Thus the high concentration (40-100 g/l) of electrolyte required in cotton fabric dyeing may pose additional effluent problem and waste water treatment costs. The use of polycationic agent to modify the dyeing behaviour of direct dyes on cotton fabric is investigated. Normally polycationic agent had been treated on dyed fabric to improve fastness properties. The comparison of untreated and pretreated cotton fabric was found that the polycationic agent offers the potential for different dyeing patterning possibilities. The dyes was fixed on the fiber by ionic force. So color strength and exhaustion of pretreated fabric was better than untreated fabric and increased in fastness properties even when dyeing had been carried out in the absence of electrolyte. The purpose of the present work was to determine whether the pretreatment of cotton fabric with polycationic agent could enhance the dyeability of the fiber with direct dyes under appropriate condition such as assuming a positive charge on fiber which permitted “electrolyte-free” dyeing after modification without drain and helped reduce dyeing cost.
