The Comparative Study of Tie-Dye Methods for Pattern Design Development of Tie-Dye Products
The Comparative Study of Tie-Dye Methods for Pattern Design Development of Tie-Dye Products

The purposes of this research were 1) To compare to the distinctly motifs of Tie-dye methods: binding technique folding technique and stitching technique. 2) To compare the dyeing results of the characteristics of cotton linen and rayon in geometrics patterns design group and naturalistic patterns design group. There are 8 motifs were used; quadrangle triangle circle heart form flower leaf butterfly and worm. The research Instruments were used; 1) tie-dye fabrics dyed in 3 tie-dye methods. The tie-dye methods were bind fold and stitch amount of 120 pieces 2) The assessment for 15 connoisseurs (connoisseurship model). Data was analyzed by the statistical package for the social science program and using mean percentage standard deviation one-way ANOVA (Scheffe) and chi-square. The results of the study were found that binding technique was at mean 4.20 including stitching technique at mean 4.10 and folding technique at mean 3.69. The best technique was binding technique because this technique could produce products in a large quantity. The stitching technique was aesthetic elegant and valuable. The folding technique could produce many patterns in one time. Binding technique folding technique and stitching technique on cotton were much suitable in tie-dye method and capability of techniques. Binding technique and stitching technique on cotton were much suitable in pattern design and overall image of fabric dyed. Binding technique and stitching technique on linen were much suitable in 5 parts. Folding technique on linen were much especial suitable in tie-dye method and capability of techniques. Binding technique and stitching technique on rayon were much suitable in 5 parts. Folding technique on rayon were much especial suitable in 5 parts except overall image of fabric dyed. Comparison of three kinds of fabric and two pattern groups were that geometrics and naturalistic patterns on cotton linen and rayon fabrics had average the best in binding technique. To compare tie-dye techniques and fabrics and pattern groups had different for some parts statistically significant at level of .05 This study was the experimental methods of tie-dye and 3 kinds of fabrics; cotton linen and rayon. The method of dyed in the study was vat dye (Indigo dye) the result found that the best fabric absorption dyed was rayon the second best fabric absorption dyed was cotton and linen. The vat dye in different kinds of fabric were dyed at the same quantity. They were dyed in the nearly different shade. Rayon was the best dye than another kind. Cotton and linen were dyed as the same shade.

Dyeing and Colour Fastness Properties of Silk and Cotton Fabrics Dyed with Eucalyptus Bark Extract
Dyeing and Colour Fastness Properties of Silk and Cotton Fabrics Dyed with Eucalyptus Bark Extract

This research was concerned with dye extraction from the bark of eucalyptus and application for silk and cotton fabric dyeing. Silk and cotton fabrics were treated with premordanting process before dyeing experiments in order to facilitate dye absorbency of fabrics such as silk dyeing at 90ฐC for 40 minutes and pH 4 cotton dyeing at 60ฐC for 40 minutes and pH no adjustment. The best result was achieved when liquor ratio between fabric and dyed solution as 1:30 was employed. Silk dyed in the solution extracting from the bark of eucalyptus with mordant compound displayed yellow to brown colour except fabric using fesrrous (Fe) mordant exhibiting the shade of dark brown to grey. For cotton fabric the shade of yellow to orange was obtained except fabric using ferrous (Fe) mordant displaying the shade of pale grey to gray. Silk and cotton fabrics treated with pre-mordanted and dyeing process has presented the properties of colour fastness to washing water and perspiration from good to very good level whereas colour fastness to light and rubbing was from fair to good level.

The purpose of this project were to study floor lamp from indigo dyed fabric process of condominium. The researcher were interested in floor lamp from indigo dyed fabric product that could be used practically and beautiful. It were inspired by the mangrove tree root that grew out of the trunk to adhere. It made the mangrove tree root shape look like legs outstretched to suit for making it. The result of the floor lamp from indigo dyed fabric design were the shape obtained from the root of the mangrove to make the floor lamp from indigo dyed fabric design for use. It found that the floor lamp indigo dyed fabric could be used in residential condominium as well. There was a light that was not too dull or translucent when the light turned off. It would be beautiful when turned on to make the color and pattern more sharply.

This project was to design and development of indigo dyeing bag for men. The objective were to study the pattern and type of bag in order to get a new one and allow consumers to choose more that it were a folk wisdom that had a long time. There was an own identity and the villagers occupation. Setting it inspired in the pattern design from the overlapping curves of mountains. The color tones used in the set of indigo dyed bag design were to use cool tones. The materials used to make the bag consist of indigo dyed fabric genuine bull leather zipper mesh fabric adhesive fabric elastic magnetic button lining and pincer string bag lock. The bag strap used nylon string fabric to strength. The opinion assessment to the backpacks chest bag waist bag and belt bag from the indigo dyed fabric in Sakon Nakhon province. The sample group responded the following questionnaire: Bringing the indigo fabric to make the suitable product was the most 59 percent. The suitable materials were the most 42 percent. The suitable product shape was the most 55 percent. The suitable colors were the most 64 percent. The durability usage was the most 52 percent

The pomelo peels charcoal was successfully prepared by traditional charcoal burning and its adsorption of methylene blue was investigated. The influences of methylene blue adsorption including contact time and methylene blue initial concentration were studied at room temperature. The adsorption rate initially increased rapidly until 24 h and 600 mg/L of methylene blue initial concentration. The further increase in contact time and methylene blue initial concentration did not significantly increase the adsorption due to it reached equilibrium. Kinetic of adsorption were investigated that the pseudo-second order model best described adsorption kinetic data. The adsorption isotherms were evaluated and the data correlated with Langmuir adsorption model with the maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 166.67 mg/g. The adsorption of pomelo peel charcoal was studied comparing to other adsorbents at the same experimental conditions. The results showed higher adsorption of pomelo peel charcoal than dried pomelo peel longan wood charcoal coconut shell charcoal litchi wood charcoal and tamarind wood charcoal respectively.
