การออกแบบจานเบรกเชิงการสะสมความร้อนเพื่อความปลอดภัย
Admittedly a disc brake plays an important role in the auto part industry since it concerns directly with safety. Therefore the wide range of disc brake has been designed in order to develop its heat ventilation. Thus this project has designed a back-vented brake disc which is difference the current one (front-vented) and tried to create the test to find out the temperature diffusion of the disc brake with the hope to evaluate the coefficient of the heat convection varied by the temperature changing in both kinds of brakes under the forced heat convection in the steady condition. However the steady heat conduction and radiation value will not be counted because it is insignificant. The JASO C406: 2000 Standard is adopted as a guideline in the test. The outcome coefficient of heat conduction will be used in the simulation via the Finite Element Method (FEM) in order to study the temperature diffusion and heat ventilation of both kinds of brakes at each temperature level. Consequently the experimental work reveals then the heat convection coefficients of both kinds are unidirectional. The heat convection coefficient of the front-vented disc brake is 4.40 % in average higher than that of the back-vented disc brake. From the simulation the front-vented disc brake can ventilate the heat better than the back-vented disc brake at 3.02 % in average. It can be summarized that the front-vented disc brake has more temperature difference than the back-vented disc brake. Hence the front-vented disc brake likely gets more stress from the temperature than the back-vented disc brake and might be damaged during the operation more than the another type. Therefore this is tendency that the back-vented is safer than the front-vented brake disc for usage.
The input power factor control of a carrier-based dipolar PWM for matrix converters
This paper presents the input power factor control of a modulation using a carrier-based dipolar for matrix converters by determining the optimum value of free parameters b and d in general solutions of the modulation matrix. The proposed PWM method is not only less complicated but can clearly show the coupling of the input power factor control from both active and reactive output power. The experimental results show that the proposed PWM method can control the conditioned input power factor set earlier
Wind turbine simulator based on constant Volts/Hertz control three phase induction motor drives
This article presents the application of the constant Volts per Hertz control to control a three phase induction motor has torque and speed characteristics similar to wind turbine. Due to this method is not complicated and does not require the parameters of motor. As a result the accuracy of control is independent of variation of the parameters of motor. Furthermore the equation for compensate the difference between the moment of inertia of wind turbine and motor which is consistent with the mentioned control method is proposed. In order to make the dynamic responses of the wind turbine simulator similar to the wind turbine and to overcome the problems of noise amplification from differentiation that leads to instability of the system. The simulation results in Matlab/Simulink program show that the proposed wind turbine simulator can imitate the wind turbine accurately both in dynamic and steady state conditions
Graphical method and database development for computer programming to reinforced concrete slab analysis and design
This research was to apply graphical method as the input data combined with using database for developing reinforced concrete slab analysis and design. Visual Basic language was used for creating the GUI (graphic user interface) and coding and database file was used for storing data. The position of beam column and slab can define by drawing on GUI and this program will automatic translate to be the distances for using as data in process of analysis and slab design. Results from analysis and design were compared with manual calculation that they are a litter bit error because of rounding error. Moreover they can be more economically and more conveniently than results from VisStructure 4
