การพัฒนาวัสดุจีโอโพลีเมอร์จากเถ้าแกลบและเถ้าชานอ้อย
This research studies the potential for using waste ash from industrial and agricultural by–products as a geopolymer material. This paper presents a study of the resistance to chloride penetration and resistance to sulfuric acid of geopolymer mortar containing ground rice husk ash (RA) and ground bagasse ash (BA). Geopolymer mortars with constant liquid to ash ratio and similar flow were used for the tests. Compressive strength porosity chloride penetration test Rapid migration test of chloride depth chloride ion diffusion coefficient immersion test of chloride depth and weight loss with impressed sulfuric acid were investigated. Test results show that the workable flow of geopolymer mortar was in the range of 110–115% and was dependent on the ratio by mass of sodium silicate to NaOH and the concentration of NaOH. Extra water was used to improve the workabililty. In case of rice husk ash geopolymer mortar the geopolymer mortars with high strengths were obtained with concentration of NaOH of 15M with the sodium silicate to NaOH ratio by weight of 2.5. However the bagasee ash geopolymer mortars with high strengths were obtained with concentration of NaOH of 10M with the sodium silicate to NaOH ratio by weight of 2.5. The use of rice husk ash and bagasse ash produces geopolymer mixes with good strength and resistance to acid and chloride penetration. The resistance to acid and chloride penetration is higher with an increase in the sodium silicate to NaOH ratio by weight of 2.5.
Creating and Evaluating tbe Effectiveness of Computer Assisted Instruction of sUbject Mechanics ofMaterials Unit 1-2
The purposes of the research were to create computer assisted instruction for Mechanics of Materials Subject to find out the efficiency validation of computer assisted instruction based on the standard of 90/90 and to analyse the students learning achievement after using the computer assisted instruction. The subjects in the study were 17 second -year diploma engineering students enrolling at Rajamangala University of TechnologyPhra Nakhon. The researcher made the experiment by having the students pretest. Then they studied by using the computer assisted instruction focused on practicing basic turning. After the students had studied and had posttest. the efficiency of the computer assisted instruction was calculated as well as the learning achievement was analysed. The research result revealed that the efficiency of the computer assisted instruction was at the standard of 90 / 90. Moreover the learning achievement after using the computer assisted instruction was different at the significant level of 0.05.
Study on Properties of Laterite Soil Portland Cement and Slag Mix as a Pavement Materials
This project was to study the properties of basement soil which used portland cement laterite soil and slag as the main ingredients and to investigate its appropriate ration to be used for pavement improvement. By using 95% of laterite by weight and 5% of the mixed Portland cement and slag by weight the amount of portland cement to that of slag at 5% : 0% 3.5% : 1.5% 2.5% : 2.5% 1.5% : 3.5% and 0% : 5% by weight were mixed together. Then the derived mixture was put together with the laterite which was the major material. The study showed that the ration at 3.5% of portland cement and 1.5% slag to the laterite at 95% provided the best basement soil in quality. At this ration it saved the cement content used as well. At this ration it gave soil cement higher plasticity. Its CBR is high as well. Moreover it provided the standard unconfined compressive strength according to that defined by The Department of Highway of Thailand.
The Development for Product of Local Folk-weaving Material by the Weaving Group of Paihoochang Banglen, District, Nakhon Pathom Province
The objective of the study was to examine the opinions toward 5 products made of local folk material Paihoochang Banglen district Nakhon Pathom Province which were facial tissue boxes hanging hand towels bolster cushions bags tablecloths and to study the basic background of the customers who appreciated with handicraft. The research considered the styles sizes practical uses and attractiveness on different products. The 200 evaluators were accidentally sample from those interested in model handicraft presented in 4 department stores of Nakhon Pathom. The statistic analysis was done by using the computer program. The finding indicated that most of the evaluators were female who were about 31 – 40 years of age single and graduated in Bachelor degree level. Their occupations were running private business with over 20000 baht income per month. The purpose for buying products was the souvenirs. The motivation for buying was the practical use. The result of customer satisfaction affected handicraft product from local folk weaving showed that the average highest satisfaction in styles of product was the hanging hand towels B. The satisfaction of sizes of product showed the average highest were the hanging hand towels A B. The satisfaction of practical use of product showed the average highest was the hanging hand towels A.
Development of Classified Fly Ash as a Pozzolanic Material
This research studies the potential for using classified fly ash from Mae Moh power plant in Thailand as a pozzolanic material. Three different fly ash finenesses viz. coarse Original Fly Ash (OFA) Medium Fly Ash (MFA) and Fine Fly Ash (FFA) were used for the study. Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) was partially replaced with fly ash at 20 and 40% by weight of binder. The water to binder ratio was kept constant at 0.5 and the flow of mortar was maintained at 110±5% with the aid of superplasticizer (SP). Compressive strength carbonation depth and porosity test of mortars were determined. FFA has a high potential to be used as a good pozzolanic material. The use of FFA produces mortars with good strength and low porosity. The resistance to carbonation of mortar improves with partial replacement of FFA in comparison with the normal coarse fly ash. The use of FFA results in a strong and dense mortar which is due to better dispersion and filling effect as well as an increase in the pozzolanic reaction.
