The Design of a Forecasting Support Models on Demand of Durian for Domestic Markets and Export Markets by Time Series and ANNs.

The objective of this research is to design forecasting support models on demand of durian for domestic markets and export markets for durian gardeners durian entrepreneurs of domestic markets and export markets and the Office of Agricultural Economics to plan durian demand conforming with domestic markets and export markets because of Production and marketing main problems (The Agricultural Information Center The office of Agricultural Economics: 2008) such as over - much durian production during production capital increased farmers durian sold price tended to be lower and lower inefficient domestic market management and more export but cheaper price therefore after that to design forecasting for the purpose in order that durian would not be over demand which is containing factors of the demand of durian fresh durian frozen durian paste and durian chips for domestic markets and export markets exported to Asia America Australia and Africa. The research involves historical collection data in the period of 2002 to 2008. The basic of forecast models are the designed and improved models using an intelligent knowledge-based approach beginning Moving average Deseasonalized Exponential smoothing Double exponential smoothing and Artificial neural network (ANNs) program within the model of new value Creation and comparative accuracy models. The evaluation result of forecasting durian demand showed that lowest MAPE of Deseasonlized models at 3 month was durian fresh durian frozen and durian paste but durian chips showed that lowest MAPE of ANNs at 4 input 10 hidden layers and 1 output was high accurate forecasting and optimal models. The analysis recommendations and error forecast of durian demand are also presented.

Low Rate Wireless Sensor Network Data Logger with Multi-core Microcontroller
Low Rate Wireless Sensor Network Data Logger with Multi-core Microcontroller

This paper presents the development of a data logger which collects interesting data via low rate wireless sensor network not expensive low power consumed sensor node. The system is wireless and more flexible to expand and substitute sensor nodes by add proper configuration wireless sensor node. System controller uses embedded small multi-code microcontroller Propeller Chip by Parrallax Inc. This chip contains eight processors (Cogs) inside. All eight processors can perform tasks simultaneously or with coordination from other processors. It comprised of Xbee chip to perform wireless sensor network that work with 802.15.4 protocol. Data is collected and stored in Micro SD memory small size and not expensive. It transfer data from data logger to master computer system via wireless network. The experimental results show that we can use single microcontroller based on data logger system small size and flexible. To expand this system with Propeller chip it can monitor data collected by system directly from this chip by generating computer screen monitor signal.

A Microstrip Folded Resonator Sensor for Measurement of Dielectric Constant
A Microstrip Folded Resonator Sensor for Measurement of Dielectric Constant

A microstrip folded ring resonator sensor for measurement of dielectric constant in a compact area of material under test is proposed. The resonant characteristics of resonator vary with dielectric constant of material. Limitations in the microwave frequency response performances of the proposed sensor have been carefully studied in a range from 500 MHz to 3 GHz. It has been found that the proposed sensor has great potentials for practical applications in view of low cost and monolithic integration capability with a driving circuit.

Low Rate Wireless Sensor for Flood Monitoring System
Low Rate Wireless Sensor for Flood Monitoring System

This paper presents the development of a low rate wireless sensor. Wireless sensor networks are cheap and comprised of a small fully autonomous processing communication and sensing devices. The purpose of this study is to develop the system for monitoring and flood warning. They will work with wireless sensor network (WSN) system. WSN has been restricted power supply communication distance and low computing power. But they will work with network in vast area send and receive raw data from each sensor node. It has the ability to cooperatively collect data and retransmit in order to process or alert. The first step of the experiment is creating main node and sub node in flooding area and finds transmission of data between them.
