Situation and Demand Regarding ICT Training of Elderly in Bangkok
Situation and Demand Regarding ICT Training of Elderly in Bangkok

This study employs a mixed method research which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative measures to investigate situation and demand in relation to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) training of the elderly in Bangkok. For quantitative method questionnaires are used to obtain information from a total of 355 senior citizens. These data are examined and evaluated by way of descriptive statistical analysis involving frequency percentage mean and standard deviation with t-test and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). For qualitative method in-depth interviews of 10 coordinators of the Association for the Elderly are undertaken and a focus group of 10 representatives of the Association for the Elderly is employed. The results show that a majority of the elderly do not have a computer (56.3%) or experience of using ICT (33.8%) but indicate demand for ICT training (59.4%) with regard to reading information and news and communicating by way of the internet. In detail there is demand for free training courses dealing with computer use and the internet as well as searching queries convenience of travel to training centres and trainers who understand the capability of the elderly. Comparison by income shows that the elderly whose average monthly income is more than 30000 bahts pay more attention to training courses and services travel convenience and trainers than do those on lower income. Furthermore the demand for training is higher for the elderly who have ICT experiences than for those with no experience. In conclusion the findings of this study suggest that policymakers should provide the elderly in Bangkok with public-access computers free internet connection availability of reduced-price computers and financial support for ICT training courses.

Relationship of perception, attitude and participation in 3D policy-based activities of students in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP)
Relationship of perception, attitude and participation in 3D policy-based activities of students in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP)

The purposes of this study were 1) to study information perception attitude and behavior of undergraduate students for participation in 3D-based activities at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon; 2) to compare personal factor and participatory behavior in 3D-based activities; and 3) to study how information perception and attitude correlate with participatory behavior in 3D-based activities which include Decency Democracy and Drug-free. Data were collected from 400 RMUTP undergraduate students from all nine faculties in 2010. Results of the study indicated that RMUTP students perceived news releases on 3D policy at average level. Similarly their overall attitude towards 3D policy campaign was also rated in average level. Hypothesis testing results showed that firstly students with different gender and faculty of showed significant different participatory behavior in 3D-based activities at the level of .05. Secondly the perception of 3D policy new releases had positive correlation with participatory behavior in 3D- based activities. Thirdly attitude towards 3D policy of the university had positive correlation with participatory behavior in 3D-based activities.

Poverty Mapping
Poverty Mapping

The article aims to discuss the concept of poverty mapping the benef it of poverty mapping and the methodology of poverty mapping including data and analysis. The last section provides the summary of poverty mapping in Thailand. The conceptual approach of poverty mapping is based on several environmental assessments and spatial analysis that will help policy makers to better evaluate ongoing regional policies by retrieving a wide range of information

The study of quantum noise of four-wave mixing process of entangled photon generation within a nonlinear fiber optic ring resonator
The study of quantum noise of four-wave mixing process of entangled photon generation within a nonlinear fiber optic ring resonator

The three types of Hamiltonian describing photon-photon and photon-phonon interactions within an optical ring resonator in which quantum noise in fiber optics is generated are given. The Markov-Born approximation and +P representation of photon states in phase space are used in order to eliminate the reservoir state variables by substituting all into the master equation to get the coresponding Fokker-Planck equation. The corresponding Langevin equation describing evolution of quantum states of an entangled photon is analyzed. The optimum results show that the occuring quantum noise can be reduced from the three main parameters where the surviving polarized entangled photon can propagate in the fiber optic system for a long time until photon processings are attained.

ICT System to analyze the characteristics of graduates in field of computer that meet the needs of establishments
ICT System to analyze the characteristics of graduates in field of computer that meet the needs of establishments

This research aims at developing an integrated system for the study of the graduates in the computing needs of professional establishments. By ICT which was developed for use as a tool to get their opinions and needs of workers and enterprises and the characteristics of graduates with skills five areas: ethics knowledge skills and intellectual relationships and responsibilities and numerical analysis of the communications and information technology. According to the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education 2552. The sample comprises establishments and practitioners in the computer profession 60. Tools used in the research was a questionnaire to measure the needs of enterprises and practitioners with graduate skills in 5 areas. The data were analyzed using frequency percentage mean and standard deviation values. Test the performance of the ICA found that performance of the system is completely defined by the scope. Users with the most satisfaction at the highest level. The results of the research revealed that the interview to focus on graduate skills moral as number 1. For the course or knowledge that the University should be added to facilitate the employment / recruitment of graduates is English. Consistent with the worker. In the demand for graduates with the five attributes of an interview with the requirements in 4.31 while the average worker has to a large extent as well averaging 4.08. Features required by most graduate ethics.
