The plant growth and production from swine farm wastewater usage
The plant growth and production from swine farm wastewater usage

The usage of wastewater from swine farm for agriculture have study on the production of three plants such as shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) and ruzi grass (Bachiaria ruziziensis). The experiment was focusing on the growth production and metals accumulation (Pb Cu Fe Zn) in plant. The results shown that swine farm wastewater were a lot of organic substant and nutrient. The biological oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand were out of standard. The heavy metals lead zinc copper and iron were amount 0.106 0.218 0.082 และ 0.866 mg/kg respectively. The productivity of shallot and ruzi grass were high growing that treated by swine farm wastewater. The marigold production (flower size dry weight and fresh weight) treated by swine farm wastewater found that were not significant from the marigold production that treated by control water. The amount of lead in shallot ruzi grass and marigold flower were out of standard. The shallot and ruzi root found the amount of zinc out of standard. The amount of copper and iron were not out of standard all three plant.

Demand for knowledge development about administrative of the sub district administration organization in Phitsanulok Province
Demand for knowledge development about administrative of the sub district administration organization in Phitsanulok Province

This study aims to survey the demand of the sub district administrative staffs in Phitsanulok province for self-development about administrative knowledge. The result showed that the essential knowledge for administration in the sub district administration organization requested via staffs was divided into 7 aspects. Knowledge development in financial accounting and taxation computer management profession education public health and environment was in the high level requirement whereas they have a medium level need for marketing knowledge improvement. Computer and the Internet were the highest requests. The follow was the knowledge about waste management. The effective and proper methods for knowledge development should be two day workshop in weekday (Monday to Friday) and the most available time was daytime (08:00–16:00). The speakers should be the government or public organization rather than private sector. The most proper total budgets (including food drink and documents) for workshop ranged from 500–1000 baht.

Optimization for sewing machine setup using experimental design technique
Optimization for sewing machine setup using experimental design technique

The objective of the research was to identify the optimized thread tensile values for the setup of Model D – We 1218-55 computerized 18-needles sewing machine in order to minimize a number of times the machine halts. The cause of the sewing machine halting which reduced the efficiencies of the machine was found to be torn threads. In order to maximize the efficiencies the experimental design technique was utilized to find the optimal values for five types of cloth: polo tc-cool cotton jacket and shirt. The method involved three nested designs which are the type of thread number of sewing layers and thread-hole size. The three thread tensile levels experimented were low (2 oz.) medium (5 oz.) and high (8 oz.) and the response was the number of times the machine halted in the span of 30 minutes. The ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) used for the experimental design showed that the three factors significantly affected the machine’s halt. The number of times the machine halted was used to create Surface Plot with polynomial trend-lines and the quadratic equation was applied to determine the optimal value for each type of thread number of sewing layers and thread-hole size. The values obtained were then set for another experiment the results of which were that the sewing machine halted less frequently and the efficiencies thus increased about by 77.01%.

Utilization of sludge from power plant as cement substitution
Utilization of sludge from power plant as cement substitution

The feasibility of wastewater treatment sludge from the power plant was studied as cement substituted material. The sludge were used as the air dried sample and the oven dried sludge at 300o C. Their properties then the optimum ratio of cement substituted portion for cement block were determined. In the control set; cement sand and water ratio were 1 2.75 and 0.825 (w/w) respectively while the treatment set sludge replacing were varied at 10 20 and 30 %. The blocks were produced and cured in tap water for 7 14 and 28 days and tested their compressive strength. The leaching ability of heavy metals namely Cd Cr Cu and Pb were determined by Waste Extraction Test or WET (according to the standard from the Notification of Ministry of Industry A.D. 2005) and Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure; TCLP (US EPA method 1311). The results showed that the solution from cement block curing both of control set treatment block had basicidic pH range 11 – 12 and caused reduction of the heavy metal solubility. The solution conductivity range 5 - 7 mS/cm. The 10% dried sludge cement blocks were the suitable ratio compared with the control set which the maximum compressive strength at 28th day was 253.81 Kg/cm2 and 4.73 % moisture. All metal leaching abilities were less than those Notification and US EPA standard. Those optimum ratios 10 % can be applied to produce cement pot.

Development of parent stock of thai indigenous chicken : chee by selection index
Development of parent stock of thai indigenous chicken : chee by selection index

This research aimed to develop a flock of Thai indigenous chicken namely Chee with pure white feather in order to meet the requirement of domestic consumption and export of meat chickens. The genetics on growth must be improve with egg production was no affected. The selections were continuously done for 5 generations. Each generation 30 sires and 50 of 16 week old females were obtained. At suitable age 6 weeks after first egg laid the artificial inseminations were arranged twice weekly with 1: 5 of the male and female proportion. Eggs were collected to hatchery in the 3 consecutive weeks followed with the 2 week skips. Before the next AI of reciprocal cross the 3 groups were bred and 3 generations each. The newborn chickens from hatchery of each generation were weighed and the other measurements were done at the 4 weeks intervals. The data of weights at 16 week old chickens and breast widths were used to calculate for breeding value. The BLUP (Best Linear Unbiased Prediction) was a selection tool to select high selection index for replacement herd of each generation. For the females the 300 day egg productions were added. It was found that from the 1st to the 5th generation the average of 16 week old chickens were 1225.99 1265.86 1461.94 1326.16 and 1439.36 gram respectively. The average body weight gain was 213.37 gram and the average daily gain was 12.85 gram. The 16 week breast widths were 5.46 5.90 5.54 5.56 and 5.65 centimeter respectively. The ages of first egg laid were 211.30 178.66 175.83 171.91 and 171.10 day respectively. In the 5th generation egg production started about 40 days earlier than the 1st generation. The first egg weights were 1390 1426 1467.61 1446.33 and 1529 gram respectively. Egg productions at the 300 day old were 36.38 38.28 40.29 42.42 and 45.58 eggs and it could provide 9 eggs more than 1st generation.
