This research aims to study the application of kaolin with coconut meal plywood from corncobs and durian peel in concrete masonry unit wall for increasing effective heat protection and lightweight. The ratio of cement type 1: kaolin is equal to 1: 60 by weight. The kaolin is replaced by fiber include coconut meal fiber corn cob fiber durian peel fiber with 1.67% 3.33% and 5% by weight of kaolin. The kaolin concrete block mixed with fiber sample size is formed to 6.9 x 39 x 19 centimeter with the hydraulic compactor. The samples tested in physical and mechanical properties follow the TIS 58-2533 standard. Resulting their fibers can reduce the density thermal conductivity and compressive strength and increase the changing length and water absorption of kaolin concrete blocks. The kaolin concrete block without fiber has highest compressive strength followed by the kaolin concrete block mixed with corn cob fiber the kaolin concrete block mixed with coconut meal fiber and the kaolin concrete block mixed with durian peel fiber has lowest compressive strength respectively. However their fibers have possibility to be composite materials to reduce weight of kaolin concrete blocks.
การใช้กากมะพร้าว ตันข้าวโพดและเปลือกทุเรียนเป็นวัสดุประกอบชีวภาพทดแทนไม้ในแผ่นใยอัดความหนาแน่นปานกลาง
This research aims to study the application of coconut meal corn cob and durian peel as wood-substituted biocomposites in medium density fiberboard. The fiber: urea formaldehyde glue: isocyanate glue with polymeric diphenymethane diisocyanate type (pMDI) ratio is equal to 1: 0.13: 0.003. The fibers are taken from coconut meal corn cob and durian peel that 7 ratios are used to all of fiber mixing. The fiberboard production use 130°C of temperature with 20 – 50 kg/sq.cm of compressive pressure with 8 minutes per piece of rate. Their fiberboards have 603 – 856 kg/m of density that was tested follow the TIS 876-2547 standard. Resulting the MM33 ratio (coconut meal fibers: corn cob fibers: durian peel fibers is equal to 0.33: 0.33: 0.33) and the CC50 ratio (coconut meal fibers: corn cob fibers: durian peel fibers is equal to 0.50: 0.25: 0.25) can pass the standard in physical properties and mechanical properties. Moreover their fiberboards have good thermal insulation.
Folkway and social needs of the urban poor.
This research aims to study the folkway and social needs as well as constructing process social supporting and developing quality of life of the urban poor . . Mixed-method and interviewing were used with 222 urban poor in Kanchanaburi Province. Deep interviewing operating conference and group discussion were used with 10 people from selected group. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics interpreted and described from empirical evidence. The research revealed that 1. Folkway of the urban poor: They had their own residence but rent the land. They were workers had no job stability. average income 8001 -11000 Baht no saving taking formal and informal on loan no yearly health check-up. They went to the government hospitals and used health assurance cards. They participated in festivals. traditions. Their income was the problem in quality of life. They needed to survive to have their own residence and to access the low interest loan. 2. Constructing process and social supporting of the urban poor were moneymaterials and workers in family. Emotional factors were culture traditions and community activities. Self-esteem was supported by budget. information and activities in quality of life. 3. The ways to develop quality of life were giving knowledge building learning and local wisdom centers budget supporting for small children in community promoting and expanding house project developing public utility adjusting landscape developing equally in public service setting welfare funds promoting children and teenagers to participate in community development.
A Study of the Influence of Color Psychology on Low Vision People Affecting Design Business
The purposes of this study were t~ investigate the influence of color psychology on low vision people affecting product design and to conclude color psychology applied for low vision people. The study comprised five points. First point was to study what colors that people with low vision could see clearest by ranking. Second point was to study what they liked the most colors. Third point was to study what complementary colors that they could see the clearest color by ranking. Fourth point was to study how the sample groups felt about colors. And fifth point was to study that they could distinguish strength or weakness in a color (intensity). The instruments used in data collection were the questionnaires and set of stimulated color charts which utilized as stimuli to induce answers from respondents in the surveying process.
The Development of Skill-Learning Kit: Thai Braille Alphabets
The purposes of this study were to investigate the development of Skill Learning Kit: Thai Braille Alphabets and to facilitate the children with visual impairments for Thai Braille alphabets practice to increase their capabilities of Thai Braille Alphabets skill. The study comprised three points. First point was to test about the Thai Braille alphabets learning of sample group. Second point was to study the appropriate scales of the usage of Skill -Learning Kit: Thai Braille Alphabets. And third point was to examine the suitable function of the Skill -Learning Kit : Thai Braille Alphabets. The instruments used in data collection were the questionnaires from respondents in the surveying process.
