The quality and consumer acceptance of corn milk powder with sugar coating and pasteurized process
The objective of this research was studied the quality and consumer acceptance of corn milk with sugar coating process and pasturization by selected from three corn milk formula. The first formula was the most appropriate. Then pasteurized corn milk with 3 levels of total soluble solid; 9 10 and 11 Brix respectively. The suitable total soluble solid for pasteurized corn milk was 11 Brix. Physicochemical properties. The color values L * a * b * pH equals 74.95 21.03 34.41 and 07.16 respectively. Protein fat fiber moisture ash citric acid lactic acid and carbohydrates. Percent 2.28 1.48 2.22 68.48 0.26 0.14 0.24 and 25.18 respectively. An average sensory score of an appearance viscosity taste and overall liking from 30 panelists had significant (p 0.05) higher than other treatments. The optimum corn milk powder by coating sugar with the ratio of corn milk : sugar was 50 % (by volume/weight) of sugar was dried in tray dryer at 70 C. The color values L * a * b * were 39.89 -2.10 and 10.38 respectively. The sensory acceptance of corn milk from the market was significant (p 0.05) higher score than reconstituted corn milk powder.
The application of coconut meal, corncob and durian peel as wood-substituted biocomposites in medium density fiberboard
This research aims to study the application of coconut meal corncob and durian peel as wood-substituted biocomposites in medium density fiberboard. The fiber: urea formaldehyde glue: isocyanate glue with polymeric diphenymethane diisocyanate type (pMDI) ratio is equal to 1: 0.13: 0.003. The fibers are taken from coconut meal corncob and durian peel that 7 ratios are used to all of fiber mixing. The fiberboard production use 130?C of temperature with 20 – 50 kg/sq.cm of compressive pressure with 8 minutes per piece of rate. Their fiberboards have 603 – 856 kg/m of density that was tested follow the TIS 876-2547 standard. Resulting the MM33 ratio (coconut meal fibers: corncob fibers: durian peel fibers is equal to 0.33: 0.33: 0.33) and the CC50 ratio (coconut meal fibers: corncob fibers: durian peel fibers is equal to 0.50: 0.25: 0.25) can pass the standard in physical properties and mechanical properties. Moreover their fiberboards have good thermal insulation
The application of kaolin with coconut meal, plywood from corncobs and durian peel in concrete masonry unit wall for increasing effective heat protection and lightweight
This research aims to study the application of kaolin with coconut fiber corncobs fiber and durian peel in concrete masonry unit wall for increasing effective heat protection and lightweight. The ratio of cement type 1: kaolin is equal to 1: 60 by weight. The kaolin is replaced by fiber include coconut fiber corncob fiber durian peel fiber with 1.67% 3.33% and 5% by weight of kaolin. The kaolin concrete block mixed with fiber sample size is formed to 6.9 x 39 x 19 centimeter with the hydraulic compactor. The samples tested in physical and mechanical properties follow the TIS 58-2533 standard. Resulting their fibers can reduce the density thermal conductivity and compressive strength and increase the changing length and water absorption of kaolin concrete blocks. The kaolin concrete block without fiber has highest compressive strength followed by the kaolin concrete block mixed with corn cob fiber the kaolin concrete block mixed with coconut meal fiber and the kaolin concrete block mixed with durian peel fiber has lowest compressive strength respectively. However their fibers have possibility to be composite materials to reduce weight of kaolin concrete blocks
Evaluation technique for northern corn leaf blight resistance and identification of resistance genes position in maize with dna markers
This study aims to develop a new evaluation technique for Northern Corn Leaf Blight (NCLB) resistance in maize under greenhouse condition. Ki48/Ki47 F2 (160 lines) and 2 commercial verities (Hi-Brix3 and Insee2) were evaluated. For this technique 10-14 day old seedlings (4-5 leaves) were sprayed with ACIL1 spore suspension (104spores/ml.) for infection. The results of this technique correlated with the results from the common technique under field condition which used 21-25 days old seedlings (6-7 leaves) (correlation value = 0.658). This evaluation technique was used to assist in QTL mapping of NCLB resistance. Population of Ki48/Ki47 F2 (160 lines) were analyzed for QTL mapping by using Simple Sequence Repeats (SSR) markers. It was found that major parental polymorphism located on chromosome 5 and chromosome 8. When Single QTL analysis was performed SSR marker UMC1365 could clearly indentified qualitative trait loci on chromosome 5 and SSR markers UMC1095 UMC1268 and UMC2356 could clearly indentified qualitative trait loci on chromosome 8.
การพัฒนาแผ่นใยไม้อัดซีเมนต์จากการประยุกต์ใช้เส้นใยธรรมชาติจากกากมะพร้าวและต้นข้าวโพด
This research aims to study the application of coconut meal and corncob fiber as high density cement-bonded fiberboard. The cement: fine sand: coconut meal and corncob fiber: water ratio is equal to 1: 0.2: 0.05: 0.3. The fibers are taken from coconut meal and corncob that 5 ratios are used to all of fiber mixing. The fiberboard production use casting in normal temperature. Resulting the CN75 ratio (coconut meal and corncob fiber is equal to 0.0125: 0.0375) is suitable ratio which pass TIS 878- 2537 standard (cement bonded particle board) and has good physicalproperties mechanical properties and thermal insulation.
