Manpower demand and characteristics of software personnel in Thailand
Manpower demand and characteristics of software personnel in Thailand

The objectives of this research are to study manpower demand characteristics of software personnel and the development trend of software industry. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches are applied by using questionnaire and in-depth interview for data collection. The research sample is 85 software industries. Descriptive and inference statistics are used; frequency percentage arithmetic mean and standard deviation The results showed that many of software personnel in software industry who operate in the position of Programmer/Software Developer/Tester. In the year 2011 and 2012 the software industry require software personnel in the position of Software Engineer and Graphic Designer the most. In addition the required qualification of such software personnel in the year 2011-2015 is the person with bachelor degree and experienced. Features of the software personnel who the software industry recognizes the importance of the top three include knowledge moral and ethics and relations and responsibilities between people. The development trend of software personnel in Thailand are the following: The development of teaching and learning curriculum in cooperation with enterprises and educational institutes teaching and learning process arrangement should be emphasis on practicing part establishing obvious intern plans and cooperative education plans. Also the software personnel should be trained concerning business administration management and presentation. Government sector should encourage the software personnel development in Thailand with regard to education and fund.

Aggregate planning for optimal production quantity under uncertainty demand : Case study of food animals industry.
Aggregate planning for optimal production quantity under uncertainty demand : Case study of food animals industry.

The objectives of this research were to find the distribution of food demand for laying hens and to find the optimum amount of that food production which had minimum cost. The data consisted of customer purchase orders for the food of laying hens price of food for laying hens cost per unit for the food inventory cost related to food of laying hens in which the food was out of stock such as fine overtime urgent purchase for material. They were collected in 2008-2009 form a factory in Nakhonratchasima province. The collected data were analized in order to explore the distribution of the monthly food demand for the laying hens and to see the rate of inventory per unit. The results were used in the stochastic linear programming model for aggregate planning in which the optimum production minimum cost could be obtained. Programming algorithm in MATLAB and tools in Linprog software were used to get the solution. The distribution of the food demand for laying hens and the random numbers were used in the model. The study found that the distribution of food demand for laying hens every month has normal distribution (January to December). The monthly average amount of production from January to December were 10936.94 12913.74 11898.12 13096 15443.26 14916.33 10322.64 10818.21 11393.11 11700.72 9706.05 and 11702.05 respectively. The minimum total cost average for 12months was Baht 62422386.98.

Demand Forecasting and Production Planning
Demand Forecasting and Production Planning

The purposes of this research were to study demand forecasting and production planning. The case study company manufactured the fish sauce product that was made to stock. To design the system the sale data was studied in order to choose the appropriate forecasting technique for the sale data. After using the system with the company case study it revealed that the prediction system can forecast the production of 1126570 units in July 2008 whereas the total sales were 1134322 units. The difference was equal to 2718 units or 0.69 percent of the actual sales which was a total cost of 116280 baht which was more equivalent to the actual sales predicted by a sole experienced decision maker who predicted the production at 1274098 units. The difference was equal to 139776 units or 10.97% percent of the actual sales which mean 2096640 baht of total cost

This study aims to survey the trend of the demand of the industrial instructors of the wanted institutions and the producing organization especially for the Faculty of Industrial Education Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon so as to know exactly about the certain demand and to estimate the production of the industrial instructors sufficiently to their needs and upgrade their skill more efficiently including implementation plan and curriculum development. The population are administrators heads of the departments from the Office of Vocational Education Commission and the Administration Office of Private Education Enhancing Commission. 112 samples were drawn under sample procedure by using the purposive sampling. The tool used in this research is questionnaire concerning the demand situation of the industrial instructors in Thailand during 2007-2011 emphasis on the institutions using industrial instructors. Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis method whereas quantitative data were analyzed by statistics; frequency percentage and mean. The result is found that the demand of the industrial instructors in certificate level during 5 years (2007-2001) are the same. The department with highest demand is electronice and electricty (average;238 instructors/ year) next is auto-mechanics mechanics and maintenance metal and construction respectively. The overall demand of the industrial instructors in each department of certificate level is high (average; 3.51)and the department with highest average demand is metal (3.75) construction (3.69) respectively. The average demand of the industrial instructors in each field from the most to the least is plastic mold (4.03) mechanical drawing (3.08) respectively. The demand of the industrial instructors in higher diploma level during 3 years (2009-2011) are the same. The fields with highest demand are mechanics and electronics and electricity (average; 125 instructors/year next is electrical power (average; 116instructors/year) production technology (average; 63 instructors/year)and construction (average; 19 instructors/year) respectively. The overall demand of the industrial instructors in each department of higher diploma level is high (average; 3.51) and the department with highest average demand is electrical power (3.70) electronics (3.66) construction (3.33) respectively. The average demand of the industrial instructors in each field from the most to the least is air-conditioning (3.91) electrical appliance maintenance (3.85) electrical mechanics (3.84) mechanical technology (3.19) respectively.
