Study on Rajamangala University of Technology PhraNakhon cafeteria wastewater treatment in alternating flooding and drying soil with 3 plant species system

The experiment was in a type of 4 experimental wells with the size of width x length x height was equal to 0.5x1x 0.5 meters including the experimental well which had plants of Colocasiaesculenta (L.)Schott PandanusamaryllifoliusRoxb and Canna indica Linn and the rest was the control well without any plants. The time period of Alternating 5 days flooding and 2 days drying Soil. The parameter studied included BOD value suspended solids Total KjeldahlNitrogen Total Phosphorus pH and Oil and Grease. The research result found that the experimental well which had Colocasiaesculenta (L.)Schott PandanusamaryllifoliusRoxb and Canna indica Linn had the effectiveness in wastewater treatment higher than the control well without any plants. After treatment with the control well without any plants the experimental which had plants of Colocasiaesculenta (L.)Schott PandanusamaryllifoliusRoxb and Canna indicaLinn with the romoval percentage of BOD value at 22.66 69.93 63.48 and 76.37 respectively.Suspended Solids at 22.66 69.93 63.48 and 76.37 respectively.TotalKjeldahl Nitrogen at 26.41 68.67 64.21 and 72.99 respectively.Total Phosphorus at 52.26 81.6975.73and79.88respectively.pHat6.42 6.556.64and 6.88 respectively.Oil and Grease at 62.08 78.75 76.47 and 80.39respectively.

Removal of color and cod in ozonation process treating corrugated boxes manufactory wastewater
Removal of color and cod in ozonation process treating corrugated boxes manufactory wastewater

This research aims to study the removal of color and chemical oxygen demand (COD) from the corrugated industry with the ozonnation. The use of ozone with capacity in the range of 24.5-59.0 mg per hr. By studying the factors and conditions that are suitable for the treatment of COD in wastewater which consists of the following factors.pH 4 7 and 10 ozone exposure period of 120 minutes and initial COD concentration of 200-720 mg per liter. Have conducted experiments using real wastewater from the plant mentioned above affect the performance of the reactor COD with the ozonnation. At pH 4 to provide maximum efficiency in the treatment of COD compared to pH 7 and pH 10. In addition the concentration of the starting COD higher performance of the reactor is reduced. The results suggest that the treated of COD up to 81.6 percent. COD in wastewater treatment is started at 200 mg per liter. When the concentration of COD in wastewater from the 450 mg and 720 mg per liter. Found that the performance of the reactor the COD decreased to 71.2 and 64.4 percent respectively. For effective treatment of wastewater with turbidity and color ozone process Nation to be aligned with the performance of the reactor COD. The performance of the reactor is decreased when the concentration of the starting COD higher

Treatment performance of household wastewater in fixed bed submerged filter by polypropylene media
Treatment performance of household wastewater in fixed bed submerged filter by polypropylene media

The purposes of the experimental project were to modify (FBSF) to compare plastic media form Small Pall Ring Bio-media Filter are commercially available. The model of FBSF consists of Equalization tank (EQ) Aeration tank with . The corresponding with Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) 48 hrs. The factors used in the study are the essential parameter such as BOD COD SS TDS and changes in the Physical Characteristics of wastewater. polypropylene as a supporting media for Fixed Bed Submerged Filter polypropylene media 2 tanks Aeration tank with plastic media 2 tanks and Effluent tank The result experimental indicated that efficiencies of FBSF with 92.78% 75.90% 96.75% and 20.76%0 respectively gave the higher effluent values that the plastic media the efficiencies 84.20% 61.66% 94.12% and 14.80% 0. The effluent BODwas less than 20 mg/l. The was on clear less sediment no foul odor. The . polypropylene media in term of BOD COD SS and TDS removal of FBSF with of BOD COD SS and TDS removal of respectivelywastewater Fixed Bed Submerged Filter was effectively for the community household wastewater5 Rajamangala University of Teehnology Phra Nakhon

The removal mechanisms of organic compound in household wastewater by sedimentation
The removal mechanisms of organic compound in household wastewater by sedimentation

The experiment was investigated the ability of the natural sedimentation to reduce amount of organic compound in household wastewater including removal mechanisms of organic compound in household wastewater by sedimentation. Sedimentation used in this experiment were collected from klongpremprachakon in 2 locate are as follows; in front of Watsamiannari and in front of train station Bangkhen. The experimental sediment bring it from area actual and sediment has autoclaved for analysis organic compound included BOD value COD value and organic matter by variation of time testing 3 5 12 and 24 hour respectively. The research result found that the experimental 24 hour Amount of organic compound in terms of BOD COD concentration and organic matter retained in household wastewater quite low. The natural sediment redound to adsorption and biodegradation by microorganism was reduce amount organic compound included BOD value COD value and organic matter better than inactivated sedimentation by autoclave.

The removal efficiency of oil and grease from cafeteria wastewater by using chitosan from shrimp shell
The removal efficiency of oil and grease from cafeteria wastewater by using chitosan from shrimp shell

Chitosan natural cationic polysaccharides is synthesized by deacetylation of chitin one of the major structural elements of exoskeleton of crustacean shrimps. Due to its combination of many unique properties such as no toxicity biocompatibility and biodegradability chitosan has been widely used to adsorb fat and heavy metal absorbents. The present study was undertaken to demonstrate that chitosan extracted from shrimp shell wastes had ability in fat and oil adsorption. In the process 50% chitin in shrimp shells was first obtained and converted into for 25% chitosan through demineralization deproteination and deacetylation process. The highest adsorption performance at 72% was achieved at the chitosan sample at the condition composed of 0.6 g chitosan agitating in 400 mg/L of synthetic water comprising of fat and oil shaking at 90 rpm/min for 10 min. and thus equilibrating for 15 min. at room temperature. Its fat and oil removal efficiency was a effectively close the with that of commercial chitosan (86% and 85% oil and grease removal efficiency). The synthetic chitosan revealed 68.42% adsorption efficiency in treating in water sample with 570 mg/L of oil and fat from the effluent in the canteen at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon North Campus. Therefore from overall the chitosan prepared from shrimp shells could possibly be further developed for future application in oil and fat removal from waste water treatment system.
