Low Rate Wireless Sensor Network Data Logger with Multi-core Microcontroller
This paper presents the development of a data logger which collects interesting data via low rate wireless sensor network not expensive low power consumed sensor node. The system is wireless and more flexible to expand and substitute sensor nodes by add proper configuration wireless sensor node. System controller uses embedded small multi-code microcontroller Propeller Chip by Parrallax Inc. This chip contains eight processors (Cogs) inside. All eight processors can perform tasks simultaneously or with coordination from other processors. It comprised of Xbee chip to perform wireless sensor network that work with 802.15.4 protocol. Data is collected and stored in Micro SD memory small size and not expensive. It transfer data from data logger to master computer system via wireless network. The experimental results show that we can use single microcontroller based on data logger system small size and flexible. To expand this system with Propeller chip it can monitor data collected by system directly from this chip by generating computer screen monitor signal.
A Study of Teamwork Ability of The Faculty of Industrial Education Students Electronic Engineering Major
This research aimed to study teamwork ability of Facully of Industrial Education students Electronic Engineering major. The questionnaire was used to determine number of sample by using purposive sampling technique. The target population of the study were students of Rajamangala University of Technology Pha Nakon (RMUTP) the Faculty of Industiral Education in the semester 2 academic year 2007. Data were analyzed by using frequency percentage and mean presented in context and pareto diagram. The results can be concluded as follows: the findings of the study reflected that students majoring Electronic Engineering have participated moderately in the activity but worked in teams. Therefore undergraduate students to graduate within appointed academic period they should have participated in any scholastic activity.
Academic Works for Academic Position of the Faculty of Liberal Arts Lecturers
This research aimed to study the conditions of academic work productivity; to study and understand rules and regulations so as to achieve academic position as well as the opinions on the academic work productivity and the need to support the academic work productivity of 73 of the lecturers of the Faculty of Liberal Arts Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. Data analysis was done by SPSS. This study Data statistics were percentage mean and standard deviation in terms of knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations in achieving academic position the lecturers of Faculty of Liberal Arts understood the rules and regulations at the medium level The reason why they did not want to make an academic work was the lack of motivation. The obstacle in making the academic work mostly was because they were engaged in other works. As for the need to be supported in making the academic work the lecturers required the faculty to provide them with various means of communications. T-test result showed that different obstacles significantly differ between different sex at .05 level.
Power Efficient Ant Colony System Wireless Sensor Networks Using Adaptive Node Function
Today wireless sensor networks are developed and comprised of a small fully autonomous processing communication and sensing devices. It has been restricted power supply low computing power. WSNs work in vast area unreachable or crucial area send and receive raw data from each sensor node. It has the ability to cooperatively collect data and retransmit in order to process or alert. This paper used ns-2 simulation propose a power efficient wireless sensor network ant colony system that can adapt it’s function to reduce average energy consumption per node and work in area for a longer time.
Use of Waste Ash from Agricultural by-Products in Concrete Work
This paper presents a study on the strength and porosity of mortars made with binary blends of ordinary Portland cement type I (OPC) sand and ground rice husk ash (RHA) or ground palm oil fuel ash (POA). The mortar mixtures were made with Portland cement Type I containing 0-40% RHA and POA. The water to binder ratio was kept constant at 0.5 and the flow of mortar was maintained at 110 +/- 5% with the aid of superplasticizer (SP). X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used on materials. Compressive strength and porosity of the mortar were determined. The XRD pattern confirmed that POA and RHA were mainly amorphous silica. The use of RHA and POA produced waste ash with relatively high strength. The porosity of mortar containing RHA and POA decreased with the low replacement level of up to 20% of pozzolanic but increased with the 40% replacement level. RHA and POA have a high potential to be used as a good pozzolanic material in concrete work.
