A study on dragon fruit varieties and effects of fertilizers on yield and quality of dragon fruit (hylocereus undatus)

A study on Dragon fruit variety and effects of fertilizer on yield and quality of Dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus) was conducted at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi Huntra Ayutthaya from October 2008 to October 2012. The soil type condition was a clayey type (59% clay) containing very low amount of organic matter (0.79%) low phosphorus (3 ppm) but very high potassium (230 ppm). There were 12 varieties of Dragon fruit collected from all over Thailand for growth study and yield trial. It was found that the variety from Rayong Province which originally introduced from Vietnam gave the maximum yield (4164.25 kg/rai/year). Application of chemical fertilizer at the rate of 0 300 600 and 900 g/trellis/year was carried out to study the effects of fertilizer on growth and yield of Dragon fruit. The results have shown that the application of chemical fertilizer at the rate of 900 and 600 g/trellis/year gave better growth more flowers and fruits per trellis which resulted in maximum yield; 4230.75 and 4185.50 kg/rai/year respectively. The fertilizer application resulted in decreasing the texture firmness and total soluble solids but increasing the vitamin C content.

A study of delay causes the corrective direction in building construction Rajamangala University Rattanakosin
A study of delay causes the corrective direction in building construction Rajamangala University Rattanakosin

The objectives for the study are the causes seeking and studying the critical level of problems for the construction project within the Rattanakosin Technology University; Salaya together with proposing the solution and the prevention as the guidance to manipulate the construction project within the university which may help to reduce the delaying problems. The study would use the data from questionnaires and the interview forms for the construction manager engineer foreman contractor and construction project committee who are working for the 14 constructing projects within the university. As for the data analysis the researchers would compare the critical levels and the frequency of each cause of the delay. The results showed that the Problem causes delays construction occurring in Rattanakosin Technology University; Salaya by simply selecting the S.I. 1 in 3 sequence ที่most valuable of each factor the resulting delays in construction divided into four main topics below 1. Man : of 6 factors the total number of 18 factors 2. Material : of 6 factors the total number of 18 factors 3. Machine : of 5 factors the total number of 18 factors 4. Method : of 6 factors the total number of 18 factors

Heritability, correlation and path coefficient of downy mildew, yield and yield components in cucumber
Heritability, correlation and path coefficient of downy mildew, yield and yield components in cucumber

The relativity of the Downy Mildew (45 and 60 days after transplanting) for 109 lines in both yield and yield components of cucumber from July 2012 to March 2013 was studied at Agricultural Technology Research Institute of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Lampang. It is discovered that the correlation coefficient of downy mildew levels at 45 and 60 days after transplanting correlated well at 0.78 (r = 0.73). Furthermore it is also found out that the correlation coefficient of downy mildew levels at 60 days after transplanting was negatively correlated with fresh yield per rai at 0.58 (r = -0.58). When considering from the path coefficient it is found that the number of fruits per plant had high total effects and direct influence on yields per rai (0.84 and 0.70 respectively). Whereas the downy mildew levels at 60 days after transplanting had negative total effects at -0.58 indirectly with number of fruits per plant at -0.27. Thus the cucumber with high downy mildew at 60 days after transplanting will lead to 58 percent of yield reduction that it will reduce the number of fruits per plant which caused yields reduction.

Development of household textiles from batik silk: a case study of the motif of ancient khmer art at sikhoraphum castle
Development of household textiles from batik silk: a case study of the motif of ancient khmer art at sikhoraphum castle

This study aims to develop household textiles from Surin Batik silk with pattern of Ancient Khmer Art at Sikhoraphum Castle and to study customers’ satisfaction of household textiles. The population was 400 assessors within the age range of 20 - 50 years in Surin province. The research instrument was questionnaire. Data were statistically analyzed for Percentage Mean and Standard Deviation. Results showed that the majority of respondents were females with ages around 31 - 35 years old. Most of them were married and had income of 15000 – 25000 baht. Most got Bachelor’s degree and used to use household silk textile. Working clothe was the most purchased category. Most household textiles were purchased as souvenirs. Personal preference was the initial motivation for purchase decisions and utilization was the key factor for selecting a product. Regarding onsumers’ satisfaction in 3 types of household textiles from Mudmee Batik silk - cushion lamp and bed cloth – it was found that satisfaction in style pattern colour price and utilization were in similar high level. Cushion was the most purchased household textile. Peacock was the most favorite pattern and consistency of the pattern was the most important factor for purchasing.

Factors affecting stress of elderly in ban-klong district amphur muang, phitsanulok province

The objective of this research was to study the factors affecting stress of elderly in Ban-Klong district amphur Muang Phitsanulok province. The 300 elderly in specific area was sampled by stratified sampling and questionnaire was used as a tool in this research. The result indicated the causes of stress could be classified into five factors. The first factor was personal problem such as aging health and injury and timeless. The financial status eg. higher living expense insufficient salary and lower allowance was ranked as the second factor. The third was family status for example death of spouse tribulation and family controversy. The social state – leadership – and environmental problem such as disaster was ranked as the fourth and the fifth respectively.
