Comparison of continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) and Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) in Omni wheel Robot Power Supply
Nowadays many robot approaches to robust control problems are applicable only to linear systems for nonlinear systems; we may not be able to easily compute the solution to the optimal control problem as analytical solutions may not be available problem is that statically-stable wheeled mobile robots can easily become dynamically unstable. If the center of gravity is too high or the robot accelerates/decelerates too rapidly or is on a sloping surface so the power supply are necessary for input to actuator robot. This paper presents mode control solutions in power supply for support Omni mobile robot. The performance compare between Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) and Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) in Power supply. The experiment on the 5V/50W 100 KHZ prototype CCM and DCM converter which have been designed and builted with similar circuit layouts and component. Aspects to be compared are stability voltage and ripple factor. The both operation mode are discussed based on the simulation and experimental result.
Investigation of Chromium Carbide Precipitation and Corrosion Behavior on Stainless Steel AISI 304 for Welding Process Development
This research is aimed at investigating the amount of chromium carbide (Cr23C6) in stainless steel AISI 304 by electrochemical technique testing in calculating the Pa values that corresponding to sensitization stage and the corrosion behavior. The results will carry on to developing the welding process. The specimens were produced with Shielded Metal Arc Welding method. Moreover it was bending at the angle 0 90 and 180 degree and the process finished on post-heat treatment with different cool down conditions are 800ºC annealed in air cooled 1100ºC annealed in water cooled and annealed 1100ºC in air cooled respectively. The results show that: first conditional is appeared the maximum amount of Pa value (Pa > 0.4) indicating that more precipitation of Cr23C6 in heat affected zone (HAZ) of specimen. The second conditional is not found the sensitization stage because when the specimens were annealed at high temperature the chromium carbide will break up and residual stress in HAZ will decrease. At last conditional is found the less amount of Pa value; the reason of using high temperature on annealing process will decrease chromium carbide but slowly air-induced cooling must pass the critical temperature then some Cr23C6 will appear at grain boundary and cause of high corrosion rate. Concerning to the corrosion behavior the second conditional present the lowest corrosion rate corresponding to the better-quality of passive film. Whereas the first conditional shown the highest corrosion rate and low quality of passive film. Thus 1100ºC annealed with water cooled is excellent condition for developing the welding process.
Life Cycle Assessment for the Activated Carbon Production by Coconut Shells and Palm-Oil Shells
Activated carbon also called activated charcoal or activated coal is a form of carbon that has been processed to make it extremely porous and thus to have a very large surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions. In this research studies environmental impacts of activated carbon production processes which produced from two types of agricultural by-products namely : coconut shells and palm-oil shells . SimaPro software is applied to evaluate the environmental impacts of both processes. The results have shown that the environmental impacts for the process using coconut shells as raw material is higher than that using palm –oil shells as raw material.
Competency Assessment for Administrators Under Jurisdiction the Office of Vocational Education Commission
This research aimed to assess the competency for vocational education administrators under Jurisdiction the Office of Vocational Education Commission Ministry of Education by using the Needs Assessment Process to assess their 5 core competencies and 11 functional competencies. The samples were 201 vocational education administrators. The questionnaire was used for data collection. The statistics were percentage mean and standard deviation respectively. The findings were summarized as follows: 1. In overall the vocational education administrators had high levels for core and functional competencies. 2. The competencies were ordered based on its mean as follows: 2.1 Core competencies: moral and ethics good governance team work achievement motivation and expertise 2.2 Functional competencies: self confidence leadership empowering others organization awareness human resources developmentvisionself controlworks control and monitoring analytical thinking communication and strategic orientation.
Individual Factors that Effect the Production of the Graduates of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
The purpose of this study was to study individual factors of students that effect the production of graduates of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. The survey method by questionnaire was used to collect data from students in their 4th year who were in the 4-year program and 2-year continual program of the university 350 in total. The collected data was analyzed with a statistical software program to calculate the percentage means standard deviations t-test and One-way ANOVA. The level of statistical significance was set at .05. The result reveals that individual factors of students that effect the production of graduates of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon were age faculty academic record previous education resident characteristic the relationship of student behaviour learning condition and satisfaction towards graduates production. Meanwhile factors of gender and study program didn’t affect individual factors of students that effect the production of graduates of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
