A study of chemical release of wook/PVC composites affecting on the physical and chemical water qualities
This research work was to study the chemical release of wood/polyvinylchloride composites (WPVC) affecting the physical and chemical properties of water. WPVC specimens in ratio of PVC and wood (100:100 by weight) were prepared by using twin screw extruder. The water conditions for specimen immersion testing were varied for temperatures of 30-70 oC and specimen immersion time of 0-120 h. The water quality was estimated by measuring pH electrical conductivity turbidity and color of water after immersion of WPVC specimen as comparing with case of PVC specimen. The result suggested that pH values of water slightly decreased with increasing specimen immersion time whereas the change of temperature of water did not affect the pH value. The electrical conductivity remained unchanged with increasing specimen immersion time or temperature except for immersion of WPVC specimens at 70 oC. This might be attributed the weak interfacial bonds between PVC and wood and this led to more easily release the metal ions from additives of PVC. The turbidity and color of water for case of WPVC increased with increasing specimen immersion time whereas those for case of PVC did not change. From the results of water quality testing it indicated that WPVC applications which contact with water are safety. This was because water quality after immersion of WPVC specimen is within the effluent standards of pollution control department.
Services marketing mix factors affecting students’ decision to pursue study at undergraduate level in faculty of science and technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
The purpose of this study was to study and compare services marketing mix factors affecting students’ decision to pursue study at undergraduate level in faculty of science and technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon in 7 aspects: product price place promotion people process and physical evidence. The undergraduates were classified by gender major subjects educational background department of education achievement and domicile. The samples in this research were 93 undergraduates. The study participates selected by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. The 84 item questionnaires of rating scales was used as the research instrument. Percentage mean standard deviation t - test for independent sample F – test and Scheffe’s test analysis were statistical method to analyze data. The results were as follows: 1. Services marketing mix factors affecting students’ decision to pursue study at undergraduate level in faculty of science and technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon all aspects were in moderate levels that price was the highest while process and promotion was in the lowest rank. 2. There was significant difference for services marketing mix factors affecting students’ decision to pursue study at undergraduate level in faculty of science and technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon at the 0.05 level among undergraduates in different gender different academic years different educational background and different achievement. 3. There was non significant difference for services marketing mix factors affecting students’ decision to pursue study at undergraduate level in faculty of science and technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon in different department of education and different domicile.
Potential of extracts of Ficus hispida linn for controlling germination and Growth of Weed in Rice Field for Increase the value of biodiversity and its sustainable use
The potential of extracts of the Ficus hispida Linn to inhibit germination and growth of barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli) a common weed in rice. The bark leaves and fruit of F. hispida isolated by the Maceration and extracted by the polarity of the solvent (Sequential Extraction) with organic solvents such as hexane ethyl acetate and methanol when each part of the crude extract was tested the type of phytochemical tested for germinate inhibition root length inhibition stem length inhibition and dry weight inhibition of barnyardgrass and selected extracts with highest inhibition to separation using column chromatography the fractions tested repeating. The results showed that 1. Crude methanolic extracts from the bark leaves and fruit of barnyardgrass at a concentration of 3000 ppm showed highest inhibited percentage of germinate inhibition root length inhibition stem length inhibition and dry weight inhibition. 2. Fractions methanolic extracts from the bark leaves and fruit of barnyardgrass on a separate with column chromatography found that fractions extracts F5 F8 and F2 showed highest inhibited percentage of germinate inhibition root length inhibition stem length inhibition and dry weight inhibition.
The Mechanical strength of white rice kernel related to milling quality
The processes of rough rice milling for increase head rice yield are depending on several factors. The paddy rigidities are the one of these is effect to head rice yield. In the past research papers were showed that the qualities of milling were measuring from head rice yield and rigidities of rough rice were rerated to head rice yields. In this research aim to test the rigidities of the white rice with the bending test and showing the relation between white rice rigidities and head rice yield. The PTT1 RD41 RD31 and RD49 rice varieties were used in the experiment. The result showed that the high relation between the brown rice yield and head rice yield with determination coefficient was 0.81and the brown rice yield was heavy weight more than the head rice yield about 20%. The determination coefficient between the white rice rigidities and head rice yield was 0.16 showed that the less relation.
The potential development of Ficus hispida Linn use to traditional herbs and cancer prevention for generate knowledge and heritage of local wisdom
The study used the bark leaves and fruit of Ficus hispida Linn to separation by Maceration and sequential extraction method with hexane ethyl acetate and methanol to crude extracts. Crude extracts were assessed for their antioxidant activities tested using DPPH radical scavenging assay total phenolic contents tested using the Folin–Ciocalteu method cytotoxic activity against oral cavity cancer (KB) human small cell lung cancer (NCI-H187) and breast cancer (MCF-7) cancer cell lines tested using the resazurin microplate assay (REMA). The results showed that 1. Crude methanol extracts from the fruit exhibited free radical scavenging effect on the DPPH assay with IC50 value of 27 g/ml with the total phenolic contents value of 102.39 mg GAE/g dw of standard BHT. 2. Crude hexane extracts from the bark showed highest inhibited the growth of Vibrio paraheamolyticus crude ethyl acetate extracts from the bark showed highest inhibited the growth of Streptococcus mutans ATCC 27175 and crude methanol extracts from the leaves showed highest inhibited the growth of Vibrio cholerae most with MIC value of 7.80 g/ml. 3. Crude ethyl acetate and methanol extracts from F. Hispida exhibited inhibitory effect against oral cavity cancer (KB) human small cell lung cancer (NCI-H187) and breast cancer (MCF-7) cancer cell lines. These data support traditional uses of F. Hispida in folk medicine
