Design and development of social media application for expanding experience of museum visitors : a case of temporarily closed museums
Museums and art galleries have utilized social media to communicate with their visitors or people who share the same interest and to improve visitors’ experience in six aspects: recreation socialization learning experience aesthetic experience participatory experience and enchanting experience. This is very important especially when the museum was temporarily closed because of damage from natural disasters. The museum has to find an alternative method to present their collections and communicate with their visitors. This paper will describe impact factors of museum visiting experience and introduce the design decision of social media application: virtual gallery item description annotations for user opinions visualization of user opinions links to users’ Facebook page and souvenir shop. ActionScripts on Facebook which is a Flash library was used for design and development. Other user interface and online social functions included check-in comment like and status post.
Review of the addition of hydrogen to the compressed natural Gas Fuel
This article presents a collection of studies relating to the development of technologies using hydrogen with compressed natural gas or Hydrogen-enriched Compressed Natural Gas (HCNG). Regarding to the issues of mixing ratio the data show that the appropriated amount of hydrogen falls between 20%-30% by volume in order to balance any tradeoff between engine performance and emissions. The equivalent ratio can be adjusted to be as low as 0.5-0.6. The ignition timingmust also be retarded (Ignition Delay) by averagely 5 degrees of crankshaft rotation to compensate for the change of burning speed. Theuse of 20%-30% of hydrogen by volume decrease both HC and NOx as compared to the use of CNG alone. In terms of the fuel system design the individually-stored gas injection system is of interest. It provides flexibility especially for the adjustment of the fuel composition for optimum ration in any operating conditions. But at present there is no commercial development of such system.
Automatic watering system using solar PV tracking
This paper presents the design of automatic watering system using sun tracking as an energy source .The objective is to design the automatic watering system for fruits grown in both areas without electricity. The solar panel can be moved along the direction of the sun cover an altitude - azimuth dual axis as an energy source of the system. The 20 longan trees are used in the experiment. The DC motors and the solar panel is controlled and rotated by the microcontroller to the position of the maximum light intensity. The watering system section will use a technique to measure the soil moisture sensors ECHO2-20 with real time PC based monitor system by Visual Basic Studio. As for the experiment results it was found that the energy stored by the developed solar tracker increased to 17.72 percent in comparison to a solar panel fixed installation. The watering appropriate soil moisture content is 12 percent and stops at 25 percent resulting for the garden moderators to save time and labor.
Development Policy of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
The objective of this article is to present the Development Policy of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) which is specified as a tool in developing the University during the president term (2014-2018). The focus of Development Policy consists of 9 plans: (1) education development in academic excellence and professional expertise (2) quality development of student reflecting the identity of University (3) creative research development (4) efficient academic service for national sustainable development (5) art culture and environment maintenance which are the global wisdom (6) organization management for quality and good governance principles (7) staff development for quality and value (8) pushing the University towards Asean Economic Community and standardizing the University towards the global acceptability (9) preparation for being autonomous university in the future. Moreover the strategies measures and development models in accordance with the Development Policy are also presented.
Fatigue life evaluation of a closed-loop oscillating heat-pipe with check valves (CLOHP/CV) at operated temperature
This study evaluates the fatigue life of a closed-loop oscillating heat-pipe with check valves (CLOHP/CV). The method was predicting the fatigue life of the copper tube to apply for the CLOHP/CV. The fatigue test was carried out by using the specimens made of copper tube (C1220) at the temperature of 293 (room temperature) 473 and 573 K. The three types of hourglass shaped specimen included uniform type one-wave type and two-wave type specimens. It was found that the effect was a direct extension of material structures of specimen and hourglass shaped. It can be said that the number of cycles to failure (Nf) of the two-wave type specimen hourglass shaped specimen was rather sensitive to fatigue motion during testing and the temperature of 573 K has the greatest failure impact.
