The survey research aimed to: 1) study the behaviors of self-directed learning; 2) compare levels of self-directed learning behaviors which is classified by personal status; and 3) study guidelines for self-directed learning. The subject obtained through stratified random sampling consisted of 319 first-fourth year undergraduates of the Faculty of Home Economics Technology Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. The research tool was a questionnaire. The frequency percentage mean standard deviation t-test and ANOVA were used for data analysis and hypothesis testing. The results were as follows: 1. The overall level of students’ behaviors for self-directed learning was high (X = 3.74; S.D.= 0.74) that were self-evaluation competency (X = 3.89; S.D.= 0.74) self-management competency (X = 3.75; S.D.=0.76) self-learning competency (X = 3.74; S.D.=0.70) self-searching competency (X = 3.72; S.D.=0.72) and characteristics of self-directed learners (X = 3.59; S.D.=0.77) respectively. 2. There was no difference of self-directed learning behaviors when genders and educational levels were considered. In contrast there were statistically significant difference at 0.05 when academic performance was considered. 3. The overall level of students’ opinions on guidelines for self-directed learning was high (X = 3.51;S.D.= 0.85) self-directed was academic matter (X = 3.74; S.D.=0.76) physical matter (X = 3.41 ; S.D.=0.93) management (X = 3.40; S.D.=0.87) respectively.

The purposes of this research were :1) to construct the achievement test in The Development of Principles of Food and Nutrition Test for Home Economics Technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Students 2) to assess the quality of test in the aspects of validity item discrimination item difficulty and reliability Research and Development; R&D was used for research method. There were 4 step as follows: 1) Research to study the basic data and need of achievement test construction 2) Development to construct the achievement test 3) Implementation to tryout the achievement test and 4) Evaluation to assess and revise the achievement test after that bring to create the normalize of achievement test sample of Food and Nutrition Test for Home Economics Technology of Rajamangala University of Technology Students enrolled suubjects Principles of Food and Nutrition Acedemic Years 2559 on 30 peoples. Tools for use in researching the achievement in Principles of Food and Nutrition kinds 4 choices 100 items. The findings were as follow: 1.The development of achievement test in Principles of Food and Nutrition for Home Economics Technology major of Food and Nutrition which constructed 100 items results revealed that the test gained content validity value index balance during 0.67-1.00 2.Quality of achievement test in Principles of Food and Nutrition for Home Economics Technology major of Food and Nutrition. Achievement test Principles of Food they also have the difficulty (P-value) of 0.15-0.80 and the discrimination (R-value) of 0.20-0.80 and reliability of 0.20. The normalize T-score was T46.39-84.26 achievement test Nutrition they also have the difficulty (P-value) of 0.15-0.80 80 and the discrimination (R-value) of 0.20-0.80 and reliability of 0.20. The subject obtained through stratified random sampling consisted of 321 first-fourth year undergraduates of the Faculty of the Home Economic Technology Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. The tool was a questionnaire. To analyse data the frequency percentage mean standard deviation t- test and ANOVA were used. The results were as follows: 1) The overall level of self-development needs was high ( X = 3.75). The needs for selfdevelopment in line with the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education were high ( = 3.89). Moreover the level of needs conforming to Thai Graduate Preferable Qualifications for the ASEAN Community was moderate ( X = 3.46). 2) There was no statistically significant difference ( p<0.05) of the self-development needs level when genders educational levels or academic performances were considered 3) As for the activities it was rated best to use training for the development of cognitive skills numerical analysis communication and information technology skills domain of psychomotor skills and knowledge on ASEAN Community rules and regulations; lecturing for knowledge on ASEAN Community rules and regulations; study touring for knowledge development; camping for ethics and moral interpersonal skills responsibility and language skills; and student inter institutional exchanging for neighbouring countries knowledge development.

The purposes of the research were to study and investigate the relationship between the role perception in Home Economics profession of students from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology and personal and supporting factors. The personal factor consisted of gender year level academic achievement and department. Supporting factor consisted of knowledge experience in Home Economics profession attitude towards Home Economics profession and students’ participation in professional activities. Researchers used stratified random sampling to obtain a sample population of 318 bachelor’s degree students from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. Research tools were a questionnaire and a test. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results were found that the role perception in Home Economics profession of students from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology was at the high level. There was a significant relationship between the role perception in Home Economics profession of students from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology and year level department attitude towards Home Economics profession and students’ participation in professional activities at the 0.05 level. There was not a significant relationship between the role perception in Home Economics profession of students from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology and gender academic achievement and knowledge and experience in Home Economics profession.
