การเจริญเติบโตของต้นกล้าบวบเหลี่ยมในดินที่มีการปนเปื้อนร่วมกันระหว่างไกลโฟเสตและคาร์เบนดาซีม
The purposes of this research were to assess the combined phytotoxicity of glyphosate and carbendazim which were normally used as herbicide and fungicide contaminated in soil as 100 – 1000 mg/kg on seedling growth of ridge gourd. Both of glyphosate and carbendazim were toxic to shoot and root growth of ridge gourd seedlings. The 50% effective concentration (EC50) on shoot length root length root fresh weight and shoot dried weight of ridge gourd seedlings for glyphosate were 669.4 413.0 574.5 and 241.4 mg/kg respectively whereas for carbendazim were >1000 357.8 >1000 and 71.4 mg/kg respectively. Co-contamination between glyphosate and carbendazim seemed to be antagonistic effect. Both of glyphosate and carbendazim at all concentration were not toxic to chlorophyll content in cotyledon of ridge gourd seedlings.
การพอกไข่เค็มไชยาด้วยกากชาเพื่อทดแทนดินจอมปลวกบางส่วน
The research aims to study the quality of Chaiya salted eggs coated with tea waste to partially replace soil from termite mound. The residue of tea waste dried to a moisture content of 14.9% was used to prepare salt coating paste. It was found that the mixture of coating paste by substitution of termite mound soil with 10% (w/w) tea waste was appropriate to coat the duck eggs. The salt content increased in both egg yolk and egg white with increasing salt coating time. Coating egg with 10% tea waste for 24 days egg yolk contained salt 0.83% moisture 17.04% and weighed 19.19 grams. The pH value and hardness were 6.43 and 93.67 gram respectively. The egg white contained salt 5.27% moisture 81.61% and pH value was 7.60. The salted boiled eggs coated by 10% tea waste treatment for 21 days were accepted by the panelists in terms of the overall liking with the level of much liking (8.67) not significantly different (p>0.05) from that of the control treatment (0% tea waste). Microorganisms in the salted boiled eggs did not excess Thai OTOP standard. A hundred general consumers accepted this product in terms of the overall liking with the level of much liking (8.00).
Study on Rajamangala University of Technology PhraNakhon cafeteria wastewater treatment in alternating flooding and drying soil with 3 plant species system
The experiment was in a type of 4 experimental wells with the size of width x length x height was equal to 0.5x1x 0.5 meters including the experimental well which had plants of Colocasiaesculenta (L.)Schott PandanusamaryllifoliusRoxb and Canna indica Linn and the rest was the control well without any plants. The time period of Alternating 5 days flooding and 2 days drying Soil. The parameter studied included BOD value suspended solids Total KjeldahlNitrogen Total Phosphorus pH and Oil and Grease. The research result found that the experimental well which had Colocasiaesculenta (L.)Schott PandanusamaryllifoliusRoxb and Canna indica Linn had the effectiveness in wastewater treatment higher than the control well without any plants. After treatment with the control well without any plants the experimental which had plants of Colocasiaesculenta (L.)Schott PandanusamaryllifoliusRoxb and Canna indicaLinn with the romoval percentage of BOD value at 22.66 69.93 63.48 and 76.37 respectively.Suspended Solids at 22.66 69.93 63.48 and 76.37 respectively.TotalKjeldahl Nitrogen at 26.41 68.67 64.21 and 72.99 respectively.Total Phosphorus at 52.26 81.6975.73and79.88respectively.pHat6.42 6.556.64and 6.88 respectively.Oil and Grease at 62.08 78.75 76.47 and 80.39respectively.
Extraction of plastic and aluminum foil from beverage cartons with biological processes
Extraction of plastic and aluminum foil from beverage cartons with biological processes is one environmentally friendly approach that is appropriated for paper recycling. The other remained parts including plastic and foils can thus be utilized. This research aimed to improve the capability in digestion of cellulose paper of microbes isolated and screen from fruit durian and jackfruit in degradation of beverage cartons. In the small scale processes reducing sugar indicating the efficiency of the degradation process of the boxes was released from the hydrolysis of paper and determined by biochemical method of Benedict test. The controls of alkali and water immersion were utilized for these experiments. In the medium and large scale digestion processes the results showed that microorganisms helped separate sheet papers from the plastic and aluminum foils shortly in 14 days after boiling in water for 10 min. The bacteria digestion were well adapted within 14 days and prolonged their high degradability until 28 days. They could degrade the cellulose components better than the fungi with the separation efficiency of 70 percent and 66 percent respectively. Therefore from overall the biodegradation process of microorganisms have a high potential in digestion of various paper products for recycling and can be applied in industrial applications.
The removal efficiency of oil and grease from cafeteria wastewater by using chitosan from shrimp shell
Chitosan natural cationic polysaccharides is synthesized by deacetylation of chitin one of the major structural elements of exoskeleton of crustacean shrimps. Due to its combination of many unique properties such as no toxicity biocompatibility and biodegradability chitosan has been widely used to adsorb fat and heavy metal absorbents. The present study was undertaken to demonstrate that chitosan extracted from shrimp shell wastes had ability in fat and oil adsorption. In the process 50% chitin in shrimp shells was first obtained and converted into for 25% chitosan through demineralization deproteination and deacetylation process. The highest adsorption performance at 72% was achieved at the chitosan sample at the condition composed of 0.6 g chitosan agitating in 400 mg/L of synthetic water comprising of fat and oil shaking at 90 rpm/min for 10 min. and thus equilibrating for 15 min. at room temperature. Its fat and oil removal efficiency was a effectively close the with that of commercial chitosan (86% and 85% oil and grease removal efficiency). The synthetic chitosan revealed 68.42% adsorption efficiency in treating in water sample with 570 mg/L of oil and fat from the effluent in the canteen at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon North Campus. Therefore from overall the chitosan prepared from shrimp shells could possibly be further developed for future application in oil and fat removal from waste water treatment system.
