Properties of footpaths slab agasse Ash Concrete
Properties of footpaths slab agasse Ash Concrete

This research was aimed to studying the effect of bagasse ash on the properties of footpaths concrete slabs. Using bagasse ash a waste from the manufacture of ethanol instead of the OPC type I 10 20 30 40 and 50 percent by weight. Test results revealed that the compressive strength of concrete bagasse ash mixtures was less than the plain OPC type I concrete And decreased by the content of the bagasse ash. The flexure strength of the footpaths concrete slabs was laid in the same direction. Comparison flexure strength of footpaths concrete slabs on the standard (TIS 378-2531) found that can used 40% replacement of bagasse ash replacing in cement. For the percentage of water absorption of footpaths concrete slabs in bagasse ash concrete mixtures were higher than the plain OPC type I concrete mixture and every mixture is not exceeding standard. It was also found that the replacing cement with bagasse ash content increased the cost of footpaths concrete slabs were lower down. When replacing cement with bagasse ash in 40% cheaper than the cost of plain cement were up to 31% and according to the standard

Influence of Plasma Treatment on the Flexural Properties of Geopolymer Composites
Influence of Plasma Treatment on the Flexural Properties of Geopolymer Composites

In recently years geopolymer or polysialate composites have been developed and applied for a variety of fields. They are known as inorganic matrices composites which are fabricated and cured at room temperature or thermoseted in a simple autoclave. Geopolymer composites provide an excellent opportunity for achieving the goal of producing low cost high temperature resistant composite. The aim of this study is an investigation and comparing the flexural properties of geopolymer composites after reinforcements were influenced by plasma treatment with original fibre fabric. And preliminary results of the improvement in tensile strength Young’s modulus elongation of E-glass fibre fabric due to plasma treatment are studied in this paper. Many reinforcements and geopolymer matrices are now available but our works are focused on geopolymer composite Q17 Q13K-1 combination with E-glass fibre fabric which was investigated fabrication procedures together with their specific properties of these materials have been evaluated compared and discussed.

Investigated on Removal of Residual Dyestuff in Effluent from Dyeing Process: Physical Method
Investigated on Removal of Residual Dyestuff in Effluent from Dyeing Process: Physical Method

This study was investigated the pretreatment of dye effluent from dyeing process by activated carbon. The study parameters were color strength operating time and types of dyestuff such as direct dye reactive dye acid dye basic dye and disperse dye. The results found the activated carbon was achieved to adsorb the colorant. The pretreatment process used 100 – 200 gram activated carbon to one liter of dye effluent. The contact time was 2 hours at room temperature. The dyeing conditions had an influent for pretreatment process. The acidic condition was favored than neutral and basic condition. In addition the dye removal efficiency was basic dye > acid dye > disperse dye > direct dye > reactive dye.

An Experimental investigation of the carbonation of blended portland cement palm oil fuel ash mortar in an indoor environment
An Experimental investigation of the carbonation of blended portland cement palm oil fuel ash mortar in an indoor environment

In this research palm oil fuel ash was utilized as a pozzolanic material in blended Portland cement mortar. The mortar was tested on the normal compressive strength and the negative effect of carbonation in indoor environment using the accelerated carbonation test of 5% CO2 in 50% relative humidity. Three palm oil fuel ash fractions of different fineness viz. coarse original palm oil fuel ash (CPOA) medium palm oil fuel ash (MPOA) and fine palm oil fuel ash (FPOA) were used for the study. Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) was partially replaced by these palm oil fuel ashes at the dosages of 20% and 40% by weight of binder. The results showed that the incorporation of the ashes affected the strength and the carbonation depths of mortars. The strengths of mortar slightly decreased with the increases in the dosage of the ash. The fineness of ash on the other hand improved the strength and the carbonation of the mortars. The mortars containing FPOA exhibited high strength and relatively low carbonation in comparison to those using coarser MPOA and CPOA. The use of FPOA resulted in a strong and dense mortar owing to the increased packing effect and pozzolanic reaction. It was therefore demonstrated that the FPOA could be used as a pozzolanic material to replace part of Portland cement for use in the indoor environment.

Development of Classified Fly Ash as a Pozzolanic Material
Development of Classified Fly Ash as a Pozzolanic Material

This research studies the potential for using classified fly ash from Mae Moh power plant in Thailand as a pozzolanic material. Three different fly ash finenesses viz. coarse Original Fly Ash (OFA) Medium Fly Ash (MFA) and Fine Fly Ash (FFA) were used for the study. Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) was partially replaced with fly ash at 20 and 40% by weight of binder. The water to binder ratio was kept constant at 0.5 and the flow of mortar was maintained at 110±5% with the aid of superplasticizer (SP). Compressive strength carbonation depth and porosity test of mortars were determined. FFA has a high potential to be used as a good pozzolanic material. The use of FFA produces mortars with good strength and low porosity. The resistance to carbonation of mortar improves with partial replacement of FFA in comparison with the normal coarse fly ash. The use of FFA results in a strong and dense mortar which is due to better dispersion and filling effect as well as an increase in the pozzolanic reaction.
