This research aimed to assess the competency for vocational education administrators under Jurisdiction the Office of Vocational Education Commission Ministry of Education by using the Needs Assessment Process to assess their 5 core competencies and 11 functional competencies. The samples were 201 vocational education administrators. The questionnaire was used for data collection. The statistics were percentage mean and standard deviation respectively. The findings were summarized as follows: 1. In overall the vocational education administrators had high levels for core and functional competencies. 2. The competencies were ordered based on its mean as follows: 2.1 Core competencies: moral and ethics good governance team work achievement motivation and expertise 2.2 Functional competencies: self confidence leadership empowering others organization awareness human resources developmentvisionself controlworks control and monitoring analytical thinking communication and strategic orientation.
การศึกษาพฤติกรรมการถ่ายโอนความร้อน และการสั่นสะเทือนของจานเบรกแบบตรง/แบบกลับที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อความสามารถการเบรก
The purposes of this study were to investigate the heat transfer and the vibration characteristics caused by front and back vented brake disc which had physically different shapes affecting braking distance. In accordance with the theory of heat transfer the heat transfer rates of two types of brake disc were different and played an important role in the deformation during usage. The single dynamometer was conducted to the experimental work as an engineering tool with boundary conditions according to JASO C406 standard. One degree of freedom (DOF) acceleration signals on the brake caliper were analyzed. The results obviously discovered that the back vented brake disc was able to reduce the vibration up to 43.5% comparing to the front vented brake disc in case of the braking temperature 200C initial breaking speed 50 km/h and the hydraulic pressure of 4 MPa. Besides the hydraulic pressure at 4 MPa generated the maximum vibration. Furthermore the initial braking speed and the braking temperature were also the important factors. Regarding braking distance results the results of the experimental work obviously discovered that the back vented brake disc created braking distance shorter than front vented brake disc. Besides there were important factors as braking temperature hydraulic pressure and initial speed of braking. Especially the high braking temperature caused an increase of deceleration and a decrease of braking distance. Moreover the high hydraulic pressure produced a deduction of braking distance and an increase of deceleration. Finally the initial speed of braking directly varied to the braking distance

Admittedly a disc brake plays an important role in the auto part industry since it concerns directly with safety. Therefore the wide range of disc brake has been designed in order to develop its heat ventilation. There are two physical kinds of brakes: front-vented disc brake and backvented disc brake. As a result such difference affects directly to the heat ventilation which is a vital factor of the brake’s capability. The project team recognizes its importance and tries to create the test to find out the temperature diffusion of the disc brake with the hope to evaluate the coefficient of the heat convection varied by the temperature changing in both kinds of brakes under the forced heat convection in the steady condition. However the steady heat conduction and radiation value will not be counted because it is insignificant. The JASO C406: 2000 Standard is adopted as a guideline in the test. The outcome coefficient of heat conduction will be used in the simulation via the Finite Element Method (FEM) in order to study the temperature diffusion and heat ventilation of both kinds of brakes at each temperature level. Consequently the experimental work reveals then the heat convection coefficients of both kinds are unidirectional. The heat convection coefficient of the front-vented disc brake is 4.40 % in average higher than that of the back-vented disc brake. From the simulation the front-vented disc brake can ventilate the heat better than the back-vented disc brake at 3.02 % in average. It can be summarized that the front-vented disc brake has more temperature difference than the backvented disc brake. Hence the front-vented disc brake likely gets more stress from the temperature than the back-vented disc brake and might be damaged during the operation more than the another type.
Air Car
Nowadays energy conservation is widely recognized due to fuel crisis. Petroleum is one of the primary energy used in various aspects especially by factories which consume energy at very high rate. Air pollution has been caused for this reason. Lots of industrial sectors have paid attention to this problem and have found out in different ways to manage it. The purpose of this work was to apply compressed air energy which is zero emission energy as an alternative energy instead of fossil energy. This energy was used in a prototype small three-wheeler powered by an impact wrench. The vehicle carried two tanks of 10 liters of air which pressure is 90 bars. The three-wheeler used chains and gears to transmit power to wheels. The gear increased torque ratio of the impact wrench. An air valve was controlled by a sling-controlling lever. On rear wheel hub 3-speed gear was fitted to enable the car move conveniently according to speed of motor and road condition. Test results showed that air car could move with the maximum speed of 21.4 km/hr and the farthest distance of 1917 meters. The longest period of time which the car could move was about 5-6 minutes. The highest torque produced by impact wrench was 2.323 Nm at rotating speed of 3400 rpm. It was also found that between the rotating speed of 2000 and 4000 rpm the impact wrench produced the best performance and this is a good condition to be chosen for further research and development for maximum efficiency.
Soil Respiration of Natural Forest, Forest Plantation and Agricutural Incubated Soils
Recently scientists have focused attention on soil as a major source and sink for atmospheric CO2. Three replications of two-depth soils from eleven different ecosystem types from Sakaerat Environmental Research Station (SERS) Sakaerat Silvicultural Research Station (SSRS) and Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) Nakhon Ratchasima were collected during the first week of March 2010. The soils were then incubated at 25°C for three days and measured their respiration rates. The highest soil respiration rate was found in sunflower with 0.823 μmol CO2 g-1 h-1 while the lowest was found in eucalyptus plantation in SUT with 0.005 μmol CO2 g-1 h-1. Additionally between two natural forests at SERS the respiration rate of dry evergreen forest was higher than in dry dipterocarp forest with the value of 0.037 and 0.016 μmol CO2 g-1 h-1 respectively. Whereas the soil respiration rate at SSRS forests was highest in the eucalyptus plantation (0.048 μmol CO2 g-1 h-1) and lowest in acacia plantation (0.027 μmol CO2 g-1 h-1). The overall respiration rate was higher for soils from 0-5 cm than 5-15 cm but not statistically significant difference. Soil water content and pH were positively significant related with soil respiration (p<0.01). Soil carbon however was also positively significant related with soil respiration but in lesser degree (p<0.05). Therefore soil water content and pH should be major driving forces for soil respiration.
