The purposes of this research were 1) to study organic rice production of Praknamdaeng Community Amphawa Samutsongkhram 2) to investigate explicit knowledge of organic rice plantation in Praknamdaeng Community and 3) to discover guidelines on promotion to grow organic rice for food security of Praknamdaeng Community. The population groups were agricultural government officials and Praknamdaeng’s farmers. The research tool was interview analyzed by content analysis. The results revealed as follows: 1) According to organic rice production of Praknamdaeng Community there were 288 hectares (1800 rais in Thai) rice-growing areas and 90 farmers’ families in villages 2 3 4 and 6. The land was full of clay not flooded and in the downstream irrigation area. The weather was humid because it was near the sea. There were many different types of rice varieties grown in Praknamdaeng Community namely; Khao Leuang Patew Chumphon Pathumthani fragrant rice RD 31 Suphan Buri 1 RD 59 RD 47 Sangyod Maung Phatthalung rice Aromatic Black (Hom–nin) rice and Riceberry rice. Rice farming process was mostly taught by villages’ ancestors or experts through learning by doing and working together. The problem of traditional rice growing was soil degradation. The organic rice cultivation in Praknamdaeng Community began in 2005. Khao Leuang Patew Chumphon the loca rice was highly grown. Nowadays 70 percentage of the land was full of GAP organic rice production. The biggest problem for the farmers in the community was drought. 2) As for the appropriate knowledge of organic rice production in Praknamdaeng Community the rice farming processes between traditional and organic rice growing were not different. In the case of organic rice production bio-chemicals were used as herbicides and pesticides but the amount of chemical substances was reduced and only used in a short period for safe. 3) Due to guidelines on promotion to grow organic rice for food security of Praknamdaeng Community there were some guidelines for the 2 groups: farmers and community. The guidelines for the farmers were 1) the pursuit of knowledge or transfer of knowledge to the farmers 2) establishing the learning center of organic rice production in the community by chemical-free cultivation 3) providing organic rice paddy demonstration plot for learning 4) preparing the local people to understand and be volunteers for organic rice cultivation 5) developing farmer organization and 6) promoting comprehensive marketing. The guidelines for the community were 1) in the aspect of the quality of life organic rice consumption has to be promoted for the local people and for food security in the future 2) in the aspect of promotion of farmer career organic rice products can be more value-added make pride and more money for the community 3) systematic community enterprise management 4) support for the networks of producers food processing and distribution of organic rice among other communities and provinces. In the aspect of food security the farmers firstly focus on farmer career stability because they consider it as one of the important careers to produce food to the society. Moreover standard qualified products and suitable demand and supply are included.

The research aims to 1) promote historic and cultural tourism at royal temples in Ayutthaya province; and to 2) identify ways of promoting cultural tourism sustainably. The research methodology is mixed-method. The quantitative data was collected from approximately 400 Thai tourists by means of questionnaires. The qualitative data was collected by means of interviews with 8 tourism stakeholders in Ayutthaya province. Data were analyzed to identify the frequency percentage mean (x̅) and standard deviation (S.D.) using SPSS. The research found that Thai tourists and tourism stakeholders support measures to develop Royal temples in Ayutthaya including: 1)Wat Phra Sri San Phet; 2) Wat Panan Cheng Worawiharn; 3) Wat Na Phra Maen; 4) Wat Kasattra Thirat; and 5) Wat Phrom Niwat. In order to develop this royal temples there should be co-operation between locals and the private sector to promote sustainable tourism and to preserve the beautiful heritage sites as world heritage sites. The private sector and locals should support sustainable tourism activities and Thai culture to attract tourists who can encourage socio-economic development. In addition tourism facilities should be developed such as tourism landscapes parking areas tourism information public toilets and facilities for the elderly and disabled. Tourism policy should be supported through co-operation between locals and tourism stakeholders. Tourism management authorities and locals should support activities to preserve culture in order to attract more tourists and increase tourism revenue.

Production and characterization of carboxymethyl cellulose from orange rind
Production and characterization of carboxymethyl cellulose from orange rind

It is known that orange rind is often discarded as garbage. This research examines the production of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) from orange rind. Cellulose was extracted from orange rind (2.0 g) through alkalization. The cellulose was extracted using 1.0 M NaOH at 80 ± 5oC for 60 min. The maximum yield of cellulose was obtained under this condition. The extracted cellulose was then alkalized and etherified to CMC using NaOH and chloroacetic acid after bleaching with H2O2. The resulting CMC was characterized through Infrared spectroscopy to determine the functional group of CMC. The presence of carboxyl group (COO-) at a wavenumber of 1586 cm-1 in the IR spectrum confirmed the conversion of cellulose to CMC. The surface morphology was also carried out through the SEM technique and the elemental analysis was performed using an EDX method. In addition the resulting CMC product was coated as a film on banana to observe for various reactions.

การศึกษาหาเปอร์เซ็นต์การหดตัวของพลาสติก อะคริโลไตรล์บิวทาไออีนสไตรีน โดยยึดตามาตรฐาน ASTM D955 standard test method

The shrinkage of plastic was caused by the shape of the product and the type of plastic used in the injection. The plastic shrinkage difference was resulted from the temperature used in melting the injection speed mold cooling and different injection surroundings. These led to unknown exact value of plastic shrinkage and the trial and error work has been done. As a result of trial and error work the injection products were not in the determined size. This research aims to find the percentage of plastic shrinkage according to standard test ASTM D955 from (Amorphous Thermoplastic) (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene ABS). The findings showed that square specimen size 60x60x2 mm measured from vertical perpendicular to flowing direction the shrinkage was at 0.86% the shrinkage was at 0.59% when measured from flowing direction and the thickness expanded at 20%. For the rectangular specimen size 12.7x127x3.2 mm measured from vertical perpendicular to flowing direction the expanding was at 0.16% the shrinkage was at 0.88% when measured from flowing direction and the thickness expanded at 14.86%. The circular specimen size 100x3.2 mm the shrinkage was at 1.26 when measured from vertical perpendicular to flowing direction the shrinkage measured from flowing direction was at 0.82% and the thickness expanded at 13.23%
