The objectives of this research were to study the snack consumption behavior of vocational education students certificates level as relate to sex age education level income knowledge of snacks and to study relationship of different levels of knowledge of snacks to sex age and education level of vocational education students certificate level. Sample of 267 home economics students ages 16-18 years home in Kanchanaburi Suphanburi and Nakhonphathom were randomly selected by stratified random sampling. All data were colleted by questioners and analyzed through percentage mean standard education chi – square T – test and F – test. The results of this study indicated that the snack consumption behavior of vocational education certificate level studied in the western Region Vocational Education Institutes had medium level of knowledge about snack. Sex age education level and different income were not significantly related to snack consumption behavior. Different sex and age did not contribute to knowledge levels about snacks.
Media Exposure,Usage and Gratification towards Alterntive Energy Information: Case study on Gasohol, NGV and Biodiesel Consumption of Inhabitants in Bangkok
This research aimed to examine knowledgeexposureusage and gratification towards alternative energy information of inhabitants in Bangkok. The data from the samples were collected by questionnaires. The findings were as follows; 1. The alternative energy internet information exposure differs significantly among the sample groups of different sex. 2.The media expusure through televisionsraduisnewspapermagazine and internet differs significantly among the sample groups of different age. 3.The media exposure through radios and newspapers differs significantly among the sample groups of different income. 4.The media exposure through televisions and interne differs significantly among the sample groups of different educational background. 5.The media exposure through televisionsradios newspapermagazine and internet differs significantly among the sample groups of different career. 6. The knowledge on GasoholNGV and Biodiesel differs significantly among the sample groups of different age. 7.The knowledge on Gasohol and Biodiesel differs significantly among the sample groups of different income. 8.The knowledge on Biodiesel differs significantly among the sample groups of different educational background. 9.The knowledge on Biodiesel differs significantly among the sample groups of different career. 10. The internet usage and gratification differs significantly among the sample groups of different internet exposure.
The Specific Energy Consumption of Robusta Coffee Bean Separating
The aim of this research is to design and create the sorting machine within the engineering knowledge by using the three-layer sieve set cylindrical sorting machine under the various conditions of experimental. Furthermore the Specific Energy Consumption [SEC] of Robusta coffee bean separates the standard size of Robusta coffee bean the total of product separated are regarded. For the experiment condition rotation speed adjustable to 9.6 and 14.4 rpm. The raw material flow through to sieve and determination the standard size for calculating the [SEC]. The result of experiment found that the average of total of product separated was 165.1 kg/hr. and 164.7 kg/hr or 99.57% from that were passed the criteria of standard according to the ministry of agriculture cooperative. In order to the [SEC] the cylindrical sorting machine was 0.01631 MJ/kg at 14.4 rpm of rotation speed. However the values of [SEC] may be change from the effect of rotation speed of sieve set.
Modeling and Forecasting of the Supply of Durian for Consumption in Domestics and Export Markets
This research aimed to design and construct a forecasting support system on demand of fresh durian of Thailand by applying 2 mathematical models which were Time Series model and Artificial Neural Network model in order to find an accurate model of forecasting support system on demand of durian yield to forecast durian yield quantity of Thailand in advance and use the forecast results to plan and determine quantity of fresh durian and durian product conforming with domestic consumption and export in order not to be over demand and cheap durian sold price. The forecast models were applied with Time Series model by using Moving Average Weighted Moving Average Single Exponential Smoothing and Holt’s Linear Exponential Smoothing techniques and Back Propagation of Artificial Neural Network model which used 4 input variables relating to durian yield. All of the forecast models were used to forecast total durian yield quantity in 26 provinces of durian cultivated area all around Thailand. Durian yield quantity data used was from 1996 to 2008. After that the forecast results were used to find the errors of MAE MSE RMSE and MAPE. Then the errors of each forecast model were compared. The forecast model which had the least error was the most accurate forecast model. The research result is following. Back Propagation with 4-8-1 structure of Artificial Neural Network model had the least error so that it was the most accurate forecast model to forecast fresh durian yield quantity in advance.
The Study of Nutrition Knowledge, Consumption Behavior, and Nutritional Status of Kluaynamthai Bangkok Personnel
This research aimed to study the qualification of Kluaynamthai Hospital’s (KLH) personnel in three aspects; nutrition knowledge consuming behavior and nutritional status. The research also studied on the relationship of the three aspects. The Stratified Random Sample method was used. Questionnaires and the 2008 annual check up information were used to gather the data from 236 samples. The data were analyzed by using frequency percentile mean and standard deviation. The analysis of test score was done by a statistical method (Chi-square) with a 0.01-0.05 significant level. The study revealed that 65.68 % of Kluaynamthai Hospital’s personnel had excellent nutrition knowledge and 26.69 % 6.78% 0.42% and 0.42% had nutrition knowledge at good average meet criteria and under criteria respectively. The average of 2.91 of the group had good consuming behavior and the frequency of good consuming behavior at 2.69 or 91.95 % of the group’s consuming behavior was less affected by mass media. 49.58% of the group had normal nutrition status while 35.59% and 14.58 % had over nutrition and below nutritional status respectively. The study of the relationship between the nutrition knowledge and the consuming behavior revealed that there was the significant relationship between the two variables at significant level of 0.05.
