การลดเสียงรบกวนการเบรกจากผ้าเบรกด้วยเทคนิคการเสริมชั้นความหน่วง
Nowadays brake pad is a one of products that plays a role in the automotive parts industry and directly affects safety. Therefore there are many designs of brake pad for product development. The technique of reinforcing the layer in brake pads is another option for developing such products. The objectives of this research are to solve the problem of noise from brake pads using the material layer reinforcement technique and raise the quality of brake pads to use in the industrial sector. As a result the prototype brake pads with reinforcement techniques by means of damping layer were performed. Consequently the experimental work reveals that the brake pads with damping layer technique for brake pads can reduce vibration and also brake noise at the same frequency at less 10 percent at braking speeds of 50 100 and 130 km/h. Besides this technique can be applied to the production of brake pads in the same formula. However the prototype brake pads is still in the product development phase for testing in a variety of conditions both temperature factors and usage period
การศึกษาพฤติกรรมการถ่ายโอนความร้อนในระบบเบรกเพื่อกำหนดค่าการนำความร้อนของผ้าเบรกที่เหมาะสม
Brake pad is a one of products that plays a role in the automotive parts industry and directly affects safety. Therefore there are many designs of brake pads for product development. This research aims to study the thermal conductivity of brake pads and define the thermal conductivity that appropriate to brake pads and also solve the problem of deterioration of braking automotive parts. To achieve this the 3 different ingredient brake pads from Compact International (1994) Co. Ltd. are studied in terms of the heat transfer behavior. The experimental work was set by simulating a brake on the single dynamometer at the braking speed of 50 100 and 130 km/h. As a results the significant parameters are copper and fillers respectively. It affects the heat transfer behavior by means of applying heat from the contact area between the brake pad and the brake disc to the caliper This knowledge will be used in the design of brake pad ingredients to determine the appropriate conductivity of the brake pads.

Presently the rail transit system plays a major role in the commercial world that they currently use diesel engine not only causing to a lot of fuel consumption but also generating numerously pollution. Therefore this project aims to study the break-even point of investment under comparison of brake specific fuel consumption and pollution of locomotive engines. By experimental works there are 3 types of locomotive engine: Pielstick M.T.U. and Caterpillar which are the difference of the combustion chamber and the fuel injection systems. The simulation load on the static tests (Dynamometer) was used following the regulation characteristic curve which is standard of State Railway of Thailand. As a result of testing the engine using common rail type of fuel injection system M.T.U. was the lowest brake specific fuel consumption at all of engine by the average of all engine speed 206 g/kW-h of brake specific fuel consumption. It is lower than Caterpillar (Semi common rail with direct injection) which is 314 g/kW-h equivalent 34.39 % while Pielstick engine a mechanism fuel injection system is 389 g/kW-h equivalent 47.04 % For pollution area there are Hydrocarbon (HC) Nitrogen Oxide (NOX) and black smut. The engine with direct injection system relieved the previous substance less than the pre-combustion engine. Moreover the compound of carbon monoxide (CO) was found that the pre-combustion engine (Pielstick) discharged carbon monoxide (CO) less than the direct injection engine (Caterpillar) whereas the common rail engine emancipated same substan cenear by with the pre-combustion engine (Pielstick). However the new technology of the engines is high maintenance costs. Therefore a number of applications have to be needed to make a quantitative value for the investment.
