Utilizing coconut coir fiber can offer an alternative method of adding value to agricultural wastes and help to conserve the environment. The aim of this research was to investigate the potential use of coconut coir fiber as cement composite as an environmentally material. The properties of cement composites mixed with different proportions of paper wastes were compared with ordinary white Portland cement. In addition the surface structure and chemical characteristics of samples were examined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray spectrometer (EDS). The results show that the main elements - C O Ca Al Si and K respectively were found in cement composites. The compressive and flexural strength of the cement composite decreased with an increase in the coconut coir fiber volume fraction.

This research aims to develop the coconut coir and fiber indoor acoustic and thermal insulation boards mixed with natural latex. The 5 ratios of coconut coir: coconut fiber: natural rubber were equal to 0.1: 0.9: 0.1 0.1: 0.9: 0.15 0.1: 0.9: 0.2 0.1: 0.9: 0.25 and 0.1: 0.9: 0.3 by weight. The indoor acoustic and thermal insulation boards were produced by knitting the coconut coir and fiber spraying the natural latex and heat compressing. The properties testing of indoor acoustic and thermal insulation boards included the density test water absorption test tensile strength test thermal conductivity test sound protection efficiency test and real usage test. From the results 0.1: 0.9: 0.15 ratio is the most suitable ratio of coconut coir and fiber indoor acoustic and thermal insulation board mixed with natural latex. The natural latex which putted in these indoor acoustic and thermal insulation boards can reduce the water absorption and increase tensile strength and sound protection efficiency.

This research aims to develop the coconut coir ceiling board mixed with natural latex. The 6 ratios of gypsum plaster: coconut coir: sodium silicate: natural rubber: tap water are equal to 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.00: 1 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.01: 1 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.02: 1 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.03: 1 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.04: 1 and 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.05: 1 by weight. The ceiling boards were produced by casting in normal temperature (30 – 35 degree of Celsius). The properties testing of coconut coir ceiling board mixed with natural latex followed the TIS 219-2009 standard (gypsum plasterboard) including: breaking load nail pull resistance deflection water absorption density thermal conductivity coefficient and real usage. From the results 1: 0.15: 0.03: 0.03: 1 ratio is the most suitable ratio of coconut coir ceiling board mixed with natural latex. This developed ceiling boards can reduce the quantity of coconut coir waste and get the good thermal insulation ceiling board products.

The study and Development Lightweight growing media by Coir to use a Vertical garden. To create thermal comfort for building users are the main factors causing the air conditioning. The cause of the electrical consumption. Thus bringing the tree into the building. In the past the building that used tree. Create a homey Subsequently it has adopted a large tree used for the purpose of lowering the temperature of the surrounding buildings. Developed into a roof garden Reduce heat to pass through the roof. And is currently being applied in the manner of a green wall. This helps reduce the heat that enters the building through the building envelope as well. The behavior of the tree to absorb water from the roots to the leaves and then passed to photosynthesis. Such a process makes the water evaporates and the air has been cooled by the surrounding trees The Heat pulled away for the evaporation of water. Such a process which happens from time to time no matter how much humidity in the air. The cool environment is another factor that manipulates the ambient environment to environment and buildings The benefits of trees in the green areas of the city this is helping to reduce and prevent the phenomenon of urban heat island The study and Development Lightweight growing media by Coir to use a Vertical To reduce the weight of structural data were collected to design the plant material. Then the data from design professionals and vertical landscaping questionnaire. And interviews to analyze the result. And amends To test plant material vegetation series of 12 trials by planting vegetation. On the wall a series of three experiments wall. (Width 1.20 m. Height 3.00 m.) Of the test data and the growth of vegetation. Found that plants grow well on a series of plant material. The unit is lightweight and planting is not burdened with the weight of the building structure.
