Continuous variable compression ratio technology for next generation engine
Continuous and Discontinuous (Stepwise) Variable compression Ratio Engine in one of the most widely acceptable methods in terms of efficiency and performance. Even though this. method was not new. it is still not ready for manufacturing due to many mechanical drawbacks such as heavy weight high inertia force heat accumulation too many component parts vibration leakage of engine oil high energy consumption low precision causes of problems for other part that work together and high cost. Today there are more than 250 patents worldwide the relate to this systim. Thus this paper presents the background of this technology mechanism categories analysis of strength and weakness and summary of highest potential mechanism pattern for line production of new generation engines.

This research analyzes the parameters affecting the penetrating resistance of shells on the armor surface by the finite element method. In this study the results were compared with real bulletproof armor firing tests and finite element simulations. modeling of bulletproof armor using Solid Works program. Creating and simulating armor firing pattern using ANSYS Explicit Dynamic program. damage test is based on National Institute of Justice level 3 standards with material of the ammunition is 7.62 mm tungsten carbide (WC) and speed 847 + 9.1m/s. there are two types of bulletproof armor used in this simulation 1. SKD11 2. Aluminum AL7075. The simulations is into 1 category Simulation of stacked armor plates. The sizes of the armor plates are 6 8 and 10 mm and the angles of firing of bulletproof armor are 0 30 and 45 degrees. result of this simulation armor thickness and firing angle are factors of penetration resistance. when the angle of the projectile is tilted it will cause the projectile to deflect reducing the frictional contact from the impact.
XZaQ: An XML zipping and querying tool
This paper proposes a new method for XML compression called XML Zipping and Querying (XZAQ) which can compress a regular XML file and query the compressed XML file without doing full decompression. XZAQ is based on non-homomorphic method which does not preserve an interleaving between an element structure and data content. XZAQ is implemented by using grammar-based method to encode an element structure and to maintain links between the element structure and the data content. XZAQ can partially decompress a block of compressed data in order to support querying of XML data. From the experiments XZAQ had an average compression ratio of 70 % smaller than original size. It also provided better compression ratio of 10% less than XGRIND. Moreover XZAQ could support either exact-match or range in both simple and complex query types whereas XGRIND could provide only found or not found match
