การหาปริมาณการสั่งซื้อน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงอย่างประหยัด: กรณีศึกษาบริษัทรับขนส่งสินค้า
This research focuses on the raw-material management such as fuel of a case study company being a freight forwarder in Chonburi province. The objective is to determine the economic order quantity (EOQ) and the reorder point (ROP) that minimize the total cost of handling. Five forecasting techniques are investigated to predict the future demand and it was found that the time series decomposition was the most suitable method with the least error. At the result of demand forecasting the economic order quantity is 16308.89 liters per time the total cost of handling the fuel tank is 17287.43 baht and there are ordering around 19 times per year. In addition the sensitivity study on demand factors affecting the cost of fuel tank management are also considered in this paper. It was found that 21% of the increased fuel demand brings the total handling cost is 1728.74 baht or increasing 10%. Therefore ordering economically can reduce the total cost of 1295.97 baht or 6.85%. If the company brings the studied results to improve the ordering process it will be able to forecast the order quantity more appropriately and effectively.

Freight is major source of income of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT); which had revenues of one billion baht a year. The development of freight by rail system to be fart punctual and safe is important. Knuckle pin serves tension and shear stress in pulling Rolling Stock. Strength testing of Knuckle pin must be done by technical and engineering knowledge. SRT has 6000 Rolling Stocks; that means 6000 Knuckle Pin has been used and it is likely to increase due to the construction of the Double Track Project and the purchase of new Rolling Stocks. The efficient Knuckle Pin prolongs lifespan and SRT would have benefit on saving cost of maintenance and increase safety in the transportation of goods. This research is aimed at creating the understanding about the quality of the Knuckle Pin modeled Nat Mall. The pin would be test by Standard Test Methods for Tension Testing of Metallic Materialsand the Standard Test Method for Analysis of Carbon and Low-Alloy Steel by Spark Atomic Emission Spectrometry and Hardness Testing Machine and Microstructureto determine the cause of pin’s damage. This study will contribute the standardization of the quality of the Knuckle Pin which is used in Rolling Stocks of SRT.

Border crossing trade can an important role in the competitiveness of Thai products in neighboring countries as Thailand has a geographical advantage that connects with neighboring countries making border trade an important part of generating revenue for the country. Thailand - Malaysia border trade study showed that the transit process took a long time resulting in a waiting truck at the checkpoint causing traffic jams and the congestion and congestion of the customs. As a result the average waiting time of the system takes up to 264.19 minutes per trip and transportation cost from 7141.87 baht per trip by reducing the waiting time from the process to 13.41 minutes per trip it was found that the transportation cost was 6975.16 baht per trip (Decrease of 166.71 baht). Reduction the transportation costs and waiting times enhance the potentiality and the competitiveness of border crossing

The objective of this research is to propose method for optimization route selection by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to The Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) model. The model was applied to case study route selection from Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi to Bangpoo Industrial Estate in Samut Prakan based on the criteria: cost of transportation transit time risk of freight damaged risk of infrastructure and equipment and risk of other factors. AHP was used to determine the relative weight of criteria. Additionally TOPSIS was used to select the best alternative routes. The result showed that the AHP-TOPSIS model which is new approach for route selection flexible decrease discrepancy from weighting more efficient than one either AHP or TOPSIS and not too complicated models compared to the other methods in multiple criteria analysis.
