Potential of extracts of Ficus hispida linn for controlling germination and Growth of Weed in Rice Field for Increase the value of biodiversity and its sustainable use

The potential of extracts of the Ficus hispida Linn to inhibit germination and growth of barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli) a common weed in rice. The bark leaves and fruit of F. hispida isolated by the Maceration and extracted by the polarity of the solvent (Sequential Extraction) with organic solvents such as hexane ethyl acetate and methanol when each part of the crude extract was tested the type of phytochemical tested for germinate inhibition root length inhibition stem length inhibition and dry weight inhibition of barnyardgrass and selected extracts with highest inhibition to separation using column chromatography the fractions tested repeating. The results showed that 1. Crude methanolic extracts from the bark leaves and fruit of barnyardgrass at a concentration of 3000 ppm showed highest inhibited percentage of germinate inhibition root length inhibition stem length inhibition and dry weight inhibition. 2. Fractions methanolic extracts from the bark leaves and fruit of barnyardgrass on a separate with column chromatography found that fractions extracts F5 F8 and F2 showed highest inhibited percentage of germinate inhibition root length inhibition stem length inhibition and dry weight inhibition.

The development of medicinal plant extracts to control Weed germination and growth
The development of medicinal plant extracts to control Weed germination and growth

Study on the inhibition of germination and growth of weeds in rice fields. The extract from the leaves of Xy/ocorpus gongeticus Parkins and Porinori onomense Hance using fermentation Maceration and extraction techniques for Sequential Extraction with three types of solvent hexane ethyl acetate and methanol. The resuLts showed that Leaf extract of Xy/ocorpus gongeticus Parkins with ethylacetate at a concentration of 2000 -3000 ppm showed the highest inhibition of germination and growth of weeds. When the substance to be separated by chromatographic techniques showed that the extracts inhibited the germination and growth percentage of Fl is the highest. Leaf extract of Porinori onomense Hance with hexane at a concentration of 2000 3000 ppm showed the highest inhibition of germination and growth of weeds. When the substance to be separated by chromatographic techniques showed that the extracts inhibited the germination and growth percentage of F4 is the highest. Which can be used for research and development of natural products from plants to control weeds in rice fields to develop further research to commercialization

Enhancement quality of rice seed by using bio-extract fermented from pig placenta and by using wood vinegar
Enhancement quality of rice seed by using bio-extract fermented from pig placenta and by using wood vinegar

This study was undertaken to determine effect of bio-extract fermented from pig placenta and effect of wood vinegar solutions on seed germination percentage and speed of germination of 2 rice cultivars Chai Nat 1 and Sang Yod Phattalung. The experiment was conducted in factorial in completely randomized design with 2 factors and 4 replications. The first factor was ratios of the solutions to water and the second was duration for seed incubation. The results demonstrated that wood vinegar showed more positive effect on rice seed germination performances than that of bio-extract. Speed of germination was affected by an inter-action between the dilutions of the solutions and the duration for seed incubation. In Chai nat 1 experiment the seed soaked in 20 times dilution of bio-extract and subsequently incubated for 24 hrs increased speed of germination of the seed. While soaking the seed in 400 times dilution of wood vinegar and incubated for 24 hrs could enhance both percentage and speed of the seed germination. In Sang Yod Phattalung experiment soaking the seed in 50 times dilution of bio-extract and subsequently incubated for 48 hrs or soaking the seed in 300 times dilution of wood vinegar and incubated for 48 hrs could enhance both percentage and speed of seed germination. According to the results we concluded that soaking rice seed in bio-extract of pig placenta fermentation or in wood vinegar solutions could enhance the seed quality.
