Study of water qualities in klong prem prachakorn leads to water resources management
Study of water qualities in klong prem prachakorn leads to water resources management

Abstract The objective is to analyze Klong Prem Prachakorn water quality and its water management. A total of 10 parameters include pH water temperature turbidity dissolved oxygen (DO) biological oxygen demand (BOD) chemical oxygen demand (COD) suspended solid (SS) total dissolve solid (TDS) and coliform bacteria were measured. Water samples were taken from 3 sampling points along the length of the canal between Bang Khen train station intersection and Wat Samian Nari intersection with a total distance of 1.3 kilometers. Samplings were done weekly for 5 weeks started from 12th December 2013 to 15th January 2014. The results from weekly monitoring of Klong Prem Prachakorn’s water quality show that the values of each parameters being monitored are within the range of the surface water quality standards. Howeverthe reporting values may show weekly fluctuation which may be resulting from relating environmental factors such as changing temperature the canal’s water volume and level (may results from the operation of the floodgate by the Department of Drainage and Sewerage). Nevertheless the values show that the canal water is clean for surface water according to type 4 water quality and can be used inindustrial sector. This study on Klong Prem Prachakorn’s environmental condition has provided a piece of knowledge that was appliedfor environmental problems’ corrective concepts and guidelines. Furthermore knowledge and information gathered in this study together with the use of a Geographical Information System (GIS) can be applied for ecological conservation studies of the areas. This study contributes to an existing knowledge and understanding of Klong Prem Prachakorn’s water quality problems and can be used to support water quality improvement campaign

Greenhouse gas emission reduction from recycled solid waste management : A Case Study of Rattanatibade School, Nonthaburi Province
Greenhouse gas emission reduction from recycled solid waste management : A Case Study of Rattanatibade School, Nonthaburi Province

The study evaluated the greenhouse gas emission reduction of waste management with software of 3R-Greenhouse Gas Calculation Versions 6.0 case study of Rattanatibade School Nonthaburi Province. The results of solid waste from Rattanatibade School Nonthaburi Province are totally 1748 kilogram. Classification of waste by group the results show that other solid waste group had the highest weight. Following by organic waste LDPE plastic cardboard paper (white / black) glass PS plastic PET plastic aluminum newspaper and steel in the quantities 140 90.67 29.05 28.09 27.93 26.51 24.54 21.14 5.33 0.20 kg respectively. When evaluating greenhouse gas emission reduction of solid waste it has found that greenhouse gas emission from solid waste recycled recycling totaled 666.23 KgCO. is the most paper (white / black) is equal to the amount of greenhouse gasses 136.34 KgCO. Following by cardboard LDPE plastic and organic waste. The reduction of greenhouse gases are equal to 113.84 109.03 100.71 KgCOrespectively.

Development of a hydrogen gas purifier for improving the quality of biogas in fermentation process
Development of a hydrogen gas purifier for improving the quality of biogas in fermentation process

Hydrogen sulfide (H25 cheap materials activated carbon scraped iron sand cement and rice husks applied to the small scale biogas production at 30 ppm within 6 hours. The filter materials with highest to lowest H48.18 percent respectively. In the medium scale biogas production (20 L) at 30 ppm. Scraped iron and sand mixed with activated carbon filter had the best H(200 L) production of the biogas fermentation (30 ppm biogas product) sand mixed with activated carbon filter at the ratio 60:40 displayed the best performances in removing H2(3 day). It is the most environmental friendliness as well as cost-effective filter for biogas fermentation at scale up sizes at least 20 L. S) is found to be one major serious contaminant to biogas production system. In this research the team aimed to develop a high efficient filter for removing H2S from the biogas reaction. From all 2S absorptivity were activated carbon sand scraped iron and rice husks those accounted for 88.02 76.06 55 50 and 2S absorptivity (100 percent) and sand showed its H2S removal efficiency lower at 65 percent respectively. In larger scale S after incubated for 4.5 hours while scraped iron filter as well as activated carbon filter functioned in H2S removal longer time (2 and 3 days respectively). In order to be able to practically apply for continuous filtering H2S from the continuous biogas production sand mixed with activated carbon filter exhibited long last filtration

Extraction of plastic and aluminum foil from beverage cartons with biological processes
Extraction of plastic and aluminum foil from beverage cartons with biological processes

Extraction of plastic and aluminum foil from beverage cartons with biological processes is one environmentally friendly approach that is appropriated for paper recycling. The other remained parts including plastic and foils can thus be utilized. This research aimed to improve the capability in digestion of cellulose paper of microbes isolated and screen from fruit durian and jackfruit in degradation of beverage cartons. In the small scale processes reducing sugar indicating the efficiency of the degradation process of the boxes was released from the hydrolysis of paper and determined by biochemical method of Benedict test. The controls of alkali and water immersion were utilized for these experiments. In the medium and large scale digestion processes the results showed that microorganisms helped separate sheet papers from the plastic and aluminum foils shortly in 14 days after boiling in water for 10 min. The bacteria digestion were well adapted within 14 days and prolonged their high degradability until 28 days. They could degrade the cellulose components better than the fungi with the separation efficiency of 70 percent and 66 percent respectively. Therefore from overall the biodegradation process of microorganisms have a high potential in digestion of various paper products for recycling and can be applied in industrial applications.

Development of bio-fertilizers of fermented sludge mixed with banana pulp and fermented sludge mixed with bagasse as additive nutrients to the plants.
Development of bio-fertilizers of fermented sludge mixed with banana pulp and fermented sludge mixed with bagasse as additive nutrients to the plants.

Natural compost or organic fertilizers suitably applied to soil since it improves soil quality is cheap and easy to manage and has no pollution residues. However the right ratio of ingredienttypes as well as enough fermentation period have to be tested in order to obtain suitable fertilizer for each particular plant species. In this study researchers have conducted experimental fermentation of organic composts composed of various ratios of either residues of bagasse or banana pulp mixed with sludge. This organic compost performs as organic fertilizer adding nutrients to the sludge since the sewage sludge by itself can only help improve soil structure but has insufficient nutrients for the growth of plants. The sludge in the experiment was obtained from sewage sludge at WatSuanKaew Nonthaburi province. The results of the organic compost after fermented 49 days showed that the compost turned to brown and black and most plant materials were already macerated. The compost of sewage sludge mixed with banana pulp in the ratio of both 0.75 to 5.0 and 1.0 9 to 5.0 yielded the best growth of the morning glory. Both formulas accelerated the growth of seedlings of the plant to a high average of 15.0 ± 0.3 cm after grown for14 days. The concentration of main nutrients was also close to the values specified by the standard compost. This banana pulp compost with pH 7-9 helpedreduce the acidity in the soil. While organic fertilizer derived from sewage sludge mixed with bagasse could only help accelerate the growth of the seedlings but did not accelerate the proliferation of immature plants. Additionally the ratios of carbon to nitrogen in all bagasse composting samples were more inflated whereas the nitrogen phosphorus and potassium were under the specified standard. This bagasse caused lower pH to 5.0-6.0 contributing more acidic to soil. From all results of these findings the organic compost from the fermentation of banana leafs was therefore appropriated for improving soil quality by mixing with sludge. The organic compost provided enough major and minor nutrients that stimulated the plant growth as well. However the formulated ratio of the bananas leafs and sludge mixtures needed to be prior experimentally tested.
