Silk Degumming with Dry Latex of Carica Papaya Linn.
Degumming process is a fundamental process for silk yarn and silk fabric finishing. The main objective is scouring the substrate such as silk gum (sericin) wax and fatty acid from silk fiber. The principle of degumming process is breaking the peptide linkage of amino acid in sericin structure into a small molecule which is soluble in water. The hydrolysis reaction is performed by acid and alkaline but they have a big problem on the surface area of silk. Proteolytic enzyme is used to solve this problem but it has some disvantages such as using a specific condition and high price. For this reason papain enzyme form dry latex of Carica papaya Linn. is choren to degum the raw silk. Papain is an enzyme which has a good protein digestion. The efficiency of degumming process was evaluated by determination of tensile strength and staining test with direct dyes (C.I. Direct Red 80). The result revealed that the appropriate conditions for silk degumming with dry Carica papaya Linn.๛s latex should be recommended as follows: the amount of dry latex solution of 4% owf at 75 ฐC for 30 minutes at neutral condition (pH ≈7). The degummed fibers had lustrous soft and smooth surface. The fiber strength and surface were not damaged on this process.
A Study of Moisture Separation from Hydraulic Oil
The objective of this research was to study and evaluate of the efficiency of moisture separation from hydraulic oil. This method was conducted by mixing pure water and oil in an oil tank which was classified into 4 cases: 250 ppm. 500 ppm. 750 ppm. and 1000 ppm. The results showed that when the maximum quantity of water was 1000 ppm. the 710 ppm. of moisture could be separated from hydraulic oil. The highest temperature at 70ฐC was utilized when that water was 750 ppm. The maximum efficiency was 80% when the quantity of water was 500 ppm.
Design CPW Fed Slot Antenna for Wideband Applications
In this paper a CPW-fed slot antenna for wideband application was designed and simulated. In order to examine the performances of this antenna a prototype was designed at frequency 2.4 GHz and simulated with various width of slot antenna in both sides for input impedances matching and simulated by IE3D software package of Zeland. The simulation result of bandwidth is 1.65 GHz (2.1{3.75 GHz) which covers the standard frequency of IEEE 802.11 b/g (2.4{2.4835 GHz) and Wimax (2.3{3.6 GHz). With these performances the proposed antenna can be used in wideband applications.
Design Narrow Slot Antenna for Dual Frequency
The narrow slot loop antenna and linear slot antenna fed by microstrip line are designed for dual frequency at 2.44 GHz and 5.25 GHz on the standard of IEEE 802.11b/g (2.4{2.4835 GHz) IEEE 802.11j/a (5.15{5.35 GHz) and IEEE 802.16d (5.7{5.9 GHz). These structures are easy to adjust the length of slot antenna for dual frequency band. It can control the higher frequency band around 4.9 GHz to 5.8 GHz by linear slot antenna. Adjusting some parameters of narrow slot loop antenna will influence on the resonance frequency and bandwidth. By using IE3D software [1] the characteristics of antenna are investigated and analyzed including instance input impedance return loss and far field radiation patterns.
The Administration of Hotel Business for Knowledge Management : from Concept to Practice
At present business globalization is highly competitive and so is hotel business administration. Therefore to maintain effectiveness and growth in hotel business administration appropriate strategies must be implemented especially in human resource management in order to enhance the personnel to effectively work up to their potentials. Knowledge management or KM is considered one of the best strategies to be introduced in hotel business administration. Conceptually stated KM aims at extracting tacit knowledge by using knowledge skill attitude and experience from the human resource in operation to create the viable learning organization in hotel business.
