The potential development of Ficus hispida Linn use to traditional herbs and cancer prevention for generate knowledge and heritage of local wisdom
The potential development of Ficus hispida Linn use to traditional herbs and cancer prevention for generate knowledge and heritage of local wisdom

The study used the bark leaves and fruit of Ficus hispida Linn to separation by Maceration and sequential extraction method with hexane ethyl acetate and methanol to crude extracts. Crude extracts were assessed for their antioxidant activities tested using DPPH radical scavenging assay total phenolic contents tested using the Folin–Ciocalteu method cytotoxic activity against oral cavity cancer (KB) human small cell lung cancer (NCI-H187) and breast cancer (MCF-7) cancer cell lines tested using the resazurin microplate assay (REMA). The results showed that 1. Crude methanol extracts from the fruit exhibited free radical scavenging effect on the DPPH assay with IC50 value of 27 g/ml with the total phenolic contents value of 102.39 mg GAE/g dw of standard BHT. 2. Crude hexane extracts from the bark showed highest inhibited the growth of Vibrio paraheamolyticus crude ethyl acetate extracts from the bark showed highest inhibited the growth of Streptococcus mutans ATCC 27175 and crude methanol extracts from the leaves showed highest inhibited the growth of Vibrio cholerae most with MIC value of 7.80 g/ml. 3. Crude ethyl acetate and methanol extracts from F. Hispida exhibited inhibitory effect against oral cavity cancer (KB) human small cell lung cancer (NCI-H187) and breast cancer (MCF-7) cancer cell lines. These data support traditional uses of F. Hispida in folk medicine

Quality changes of nile tilapia fillets dipped in phosphate solution and coated with chitosan kept in refrigerated storage
Quality changes of nile tilapia fillets dipped in phosphate solution and coated with chitosan kept in refrigerated storage

Dipping of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fillets in the mixture solution of 2.0% sodium pyrophosphate and 0.5%sodium triphosphate and coating with 0.00.30.60.9 % chitosan solutions drained packed in polyethylene bags well sealed stored at 4๐C for 15 days were evaluated. The results showed the moisture of all sample did not statistically difference and quite constant during storage. The pH and TVB-N value increased with the storage period for all sample Coating with low concentration of chitosan resulted in lower pH fillets than higher concentration. The decreasing of pH resulted in decreasing of Water Holding Capacity (WHC) of the fillets. Increasing chitosan concentration increased pH and WHC. The oxidation of the samples revealed that the Thiobarbituric acid(TBA) of 0.3% chitosan was maximum and lower with increasing of chitosan concentration. Increasing of TBA may be because of acidity of chitosan solution activated fat hydrolysis. Nevertheless chitosan coating effectively inhibited growth of microorganism in the fillets.

The potential predictability of the northeast monsoon forecasts by the educational global climate model as measured by the supremum lyapunov exponent
The potential predictability of the northeast monsoon forecasts by the educational global climate model as measured by the supremum lyapunov exponent

Weather predictions by an atmospheric model are determined by the uncertainties in the initial condition and the imperfection of the model. It is difficult to provide accurate weather prediction. The efficiency of weather predictions model is obtained from the analyses of Lyapunov exponent. In addition the predictability measurements is applied from Lyapunov exponent are finite size Lyapunov exponent finite time Lyapunov exponent local Lyapunov exponent together with a new method called supremum Lyapunov exponent are used to measure predictability of the northeast monsoon (winter monsoon) by the Educational Global Climate Model (EdGCM) and to test sensitivity of the model to small initial perturbations. The EdGCM sensitive to initial perturbations it is suitable for predictability of the northeast monsoon. The EdGCM is run for 142-year predictions from the year 1958 to 2100. However only the outputs of geopotential height at 500hPa of December from 2012 to 2100 are used for predictability measurement. The results show that the EdGCM predictability for the northeast monsoon forecast is about 120 years. So the EdGCM can be predictability of the long range forecast. Influence of sucrose on the degradation of anthocyanins in makiang jam
Influence of sucrose on the degradation of anthocyanins in makiang jam

The aim of this research was to study the influence of sucrose on the degradation of anthocyanins in makiang jam. Makiang flesh was prepared by three different methods. In the first method makiang flesh was mixed with sucrose at three different raitos (2:1 3:1 and 4:1) in the second method makiang flesh was soaked in sucrose solution (35 Brix) at three different ratios (1:1 1:1.5 and 1:2) and in the last method makiang flesh was prepared without addition of sucrose. After the jam processing makiang jams were stored at two different temperatures (the ambient temperature and 40 C) for 30 days to measure the degradation of anthocyanins. The results showed that the anthocyanins content in makiang jam decreased with increasing the storage time. The degradation of anthocyanins in makiang jam prepared by makiang flesh without addition of sucrose was higher than those prepared by mixing makiang flesh with sucrose or soaking makiang flesh in sucrose solution. Mixing makiang flesh with sucrose had lower anthocyanins degradation than soaking makiang flesh in sucrose solution. Makiang jam stored at the ambient temperature had lower anthocyanins degradation compared to those stored at 40 C.

Mathematical spatial analysis for multiple disease mapping application to hypertension and ischemic heart disease
Mathematical spatial analysis for multiple disease mapping application to hypertension and ischemic heart disease

The objectives of this research are to estimate the morbidity rates of Hypertension and Ischemic heart disease in each province of Thailand to investigate factors influencing on the morbidity rates and to construct the disease maps of those two diseases. The generalized linear mixed model (GLMM) in which the responses have a Poisson distribution and the spatial effects are a multivariate conditional autoregressive model (MCAR) are adopted. The provincial secondary data sets consisting of a number of Hypertension and Ischemic heart disease patients an average income per head and a student proportion were collected. The results show the average income per head (Relative Risk (RR) = 1.0002) and student proportion (RR = 1.0186) influence the morbidity rates of Hypertension and Ischemic heart disease. Hypertension and Ischemic maps are easy for readers to see which areas are at high risk. They are a useful tool for planning and controlling the Hypertension and Ischemic heart disease.
